MIDDLE SCHOOL UIL ACADEMIC DISTRICT WINNERS
This past Saturday, the 5 Prosper ISD Middle School campuses held our UIL District Meet. Students in grades 6 - 8 competed for a chance to be the District Champion. The medalists from this meet will be recognized at the UIL Middle School Awards Ceremony at Walnut Grove High School in the Auditorium on May 3, 2025.
The results were as follows. Congratulations to ALL participants and our winners for their hard work and effort all year.
District Championship for BOTH 5A and 6A District Come Home to Prosper ISD
Walnut Grove won the District 9-5A Championship with 496 points. More than 80 points over the 2nd place school.
Prosper High won the District 6-6A Championship with 397.166 point. More than 125 points over the 2nd place school.

PROSPER ISD UIL ONE ACT PLAYS KEEP THE SHOWS GOING
Both Prosper High School (under the direction of Vicki Kirkley, Amanda Godwin, & Chris Kulmann) and Walnut Grove High School (under the direction of Jessica Jacobs Brewster & Michael Cleveland) are having continued success with their amazing UIL One Act Plays.
Both programs have won at the Zone, District, and Bi-District level. They compete at Area this week for a chance to advance to Regionals in late April.

ROBOTICS FINDS SUCCESS AGAIN - HEADED TO WORLDS
All three Prosper Robotics teams traveled to Houston, TX to compete against 87 teams in the state for the UIL State Championships!
After 3 very long days of matches and at the end of the weekend, Prosper ISD had both the RoboTalons and TechnoTalons qualify for the FIRST Championship, which is an international competition. Both teams will be competing against 600 FRC Robotics teams from all over the world next week!
Furthermore, the LadyTalons had their own successes winning the Imagery Award as well as their mentor, Elizabeth Phillips winning the Woodie Flowers Award. Both are highly esteemed awards and Mrs. Phillips will be competing against the other Woodie Flowers Award winners at the FIRST Championship!
FIRST commemorates their winners by awarding them with blue banners, which are very difficult to get. The Prosper FRC Robotics teams started the season with zero blue banners to winning a total of SEVEN in this season alone!
By the end of the State competition, all 3 of our teams are ranked above 30 out of 187 teams in Texas!
