Principal's Note
Dear Parents, Families, and Caregivers,
I want to take this opportunity to thank you again for participating in Leadership Day.
As you already know, we are celebrating all our staff and teachers next week during Teacher/Staff Appreciation Week. At Meadow View, we consider all adults as teachers, so we are celebrating everyone. Our SCO has been working tirelessly to ensure that all our staff feel loved and supported. Our school administration also has a few surprises for the teachers. You, as a parent, can get involved by volunteering with the SCO or donating gift cards or small gifts for daily raffles. If you would like to volunteer, please connect with our SCO by emailing Meadowviewsco@gmail.com. If you wish to donate, you can send any donations to our office throughout the week.
Per parents' request, here is a document with all staff's favorite things, so if you wish to bring a gift for a teacher or staff member, you will find it helpful.
Here is the list of events the SCO and Meadow View have prepared to celebrate our teachers and staff:
Monday | SCO stocks the breakroom with snack items.
Tuesday | Hot breakfast.
Wednesday | Sonic Slushies.
Thursday | SCO will provide a Nacho Bar for lunch.
Friday | SCO Coffee and Donuts cart. Also, today is DRESS LIKE YOUR FAVORITE TEACHER DAY! We are going to have so much fun. All staff members will dress like students, and we hope all kids pick their favorite teacher to emulate.
Additionally, the SCO team is preparing some other surprises throughout the week.
Thank you again for your support and care. Please let me know if you have any questions.
✨ LEADERSHIP DAY ✨

Staff Appreciation Week | May 6 - 10
Staff Appreciation Week will soon be upon us! Starting next week, if you're interested in donating a gift card or small gift for the all-staff raffle, you can send them in a marked envelope with your student or drop them off in the office.
The SCO has many exciting volunteer opportunities and ways to get involved. We're looking for a few caregivers to assemble treat bags and possibly create some door signs. If you are interested in some at-home volunteer opportunities or volunteering at school during the day, or simply helping to set-up an activity, please email the SCO at meadowviewsco@gmail.com. If you have any ideas for staff appreciation, let us know!

We Want Your Opinion!
Please consider filling out the School Community Organization (SCO) survey to better assist our organization for the remainder of the school year and for the next few years. A new question has been added regarding sharing of funds with other Sun Prairie schools, so please take a few minutes and let us know your thoughts.
Responses will be reviewed at the April meeting, so we'd love to hear your opinions!
Birthday Treat Guidelines
We wanted to provide some guidelines regarding birthday treats and appreciate your cooperation in ensuring the well-being and inclusivity of all students. Please take a moment to review the following reminders:
Accessibility and Allergies: When bringing in birthday treats, please ensure that the food labels are easily accessible to Kelsey and Madhu, our staff members at the front desk, who are responsible for allergy awareness. This allows them to check for any potential allergens that may affect students in the class.
Individually Packed Items: We kindly request that you consider providing individually packed items for birthday treats. This helps with portion control and ensures convenience for distribution. Individually packaged treats also minimize the risk of cross-contamination and promote cleanliness.
Non-Food Treats: We encourage you to explore the option of non-food treats for birthdays. Non-food items can be equally enjoyable and are a great way to celebrate while accommodating various dietary preferences and restrictions. Examples include small toys, stickers, pencils, or bookmarks.
No Class-Wide Food Items: To maintain a balanced and inclusive approach, we kindly ask that you refrain from providing class-wide food items such as pizzas or hot dishes. This helps prevent any potential disruptions to the regular meal routine and ensures that dietary restrictions are respected.
No Balloons: While we understand that balloons are often associated with celebrations, we kindly request that you refrain from bringing balloons to school. This is to maintain a safe and distraction-free environment for all students.
We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in following these guidelines. By working together, we can create inclusive celebrations that ensure the well-being of every student. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us.
