Principal's Corner
Eagles,
Lee Iacocca once said, “In a completely rational society, the best of us would be teachers and the rest of us would have to settle for something else.”
As we celebrate Teacher Appreciation week, let us take a moment to reflect on the profound impact teachers have on our lives. Think back to your school days—can you recall the name of a teacher who inspired you? Most of us can, and not just the name, but the lessons they taught us, both in and out of the classroom. This memory is a testament to the significant influence teachers wield.
Teachers ignite our curiosity and nurture our potential. They spend countless hours preparing lessons, grading assignments, and offering extra help—all to ensure we succeed. Their dedication doesn’t just shape individual futures; it touches every life we go on to interact with. In this way, the work of a teacher echoes through eternity, a ripple effect of the impact that we, their students, make on the world.
This Teacher Appreciation Day, let’s do more than just remember. Reach out to those educators who changed your life. A simple ‘thank you’ can mean the world, but consider going a step further—write a letter to a teacher from your past. Let them know that their efforts have not been forgotten, that the work they do is worthwhile.
So, take a moment to express your gratitude. Whether it’s a teacher from your childhood or your child’s current instructor, let them know their work is recognized and deeply appreciated. Let’s make this Teacher Appreciation Day a memorable one for those who teach, inspire, and lead by example.
