Back to School Registration
The Annual Back to School Registration is open in MiStar ParentConnection. Registration must be completed for each child returning to Wayne-Westland Community Schools for the 2024-2025 school year!
If you do not have your information for ParentConnection, please call the WWCSD Board Office at 734-419-2083. Wildwood is still not open to take phone calls at this time.
Current families can complete registration at the link below!
Please disregard any information that you have seen on the WWCSD Website and/or Facebook about Open House. Due to the ongoing renovations, we are trying to put the finishing touches on the building and Open House will take place after we return from Labor Day Break. A date and time will be coming shortly!
This Week! Free Food! Open to the Community!
Gleaners Community Food Bank will host a drive-up/walk-up distribution at the former Marshall Upper Elementary (35100 Bayview St., Westland 48186) on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 9 to 11 a.m. near the back of the school. No appointment is needed.
Anyone in need of food is encouraged to attend and receive 30 pounds of nutritious groceries, like milk, fresh fruits, vegetables, lean protein and other shelf-stable items.
To respect our neighbors, please arrive no earlier than 1 hour before the distribution start time. Early arrivals will be asked to return later.
Incoming Young 5s and Kingergarten Student Assessment Update
Parents of Incoming Young 5's and Kindergarten Students-Kindergarten Assessments that were going to take place on the following dates that many of signed up for have been cancelled.
Monday, August 19th 8:00am-2:00pm
Tuesday, August 20th 12:00pm -6:00pm
Wednesday, August 21st 10:00am-4:00pm
With all of the construction happening, the inside and outside of the building is not safe to have staff, students and parents on the property. Sorry for any inconvenience this caused you but we look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday, August 27th!
Calling all 4th and 5th Grade Students!
Registration is OPENfor incoming fourth and fifth grade students to play flag football this fall! Students will be placed on their school team and compete against other district elementary teams.

Corewell Health John Glenn Teen Clinic
The Corewell Health John Glenn Teen Clinic is open! We provide physicals, hearing and vision screenings, immunizations, sick care and asthma management. We will also have mental health services available in the near future. We are grant funded and accept all insurances, however, no patient will be turned away for inability to pay.
The clinic is located at John Glenn High School, 36105 Marquette, Westland, MI.
Family Resource Center
Wayne-Westland Community Schools has a Family Resource Center (FRC), which provides services to any student/family enrolled in our District, free of cost. Some of the services they provide are essential needs assistance, access to over 700 local resources, a Laundry Assistance Program and material items for those unable to afford them (emergency toiletries, socks/underwear, hats/gloves/scarves, etc.) They can also supply school supplies and backpacks year-round for any WWCS student. Please contact our Family Resource Center at 734-419-2709 or FRC@wwcsd.net. Our FRC also has a Digital Request for Services Form, which can be used to request assistance by filling out a simple form. Please contact the Family Resource Center directly with additional questions regarding their services.
Lunch Balance and PaySchool
If you need to add money to your student's PaySchool account, please click on the link below to access the PaySchool system. Please allow 24 hours for your students updated balance to be reflected! You may also send in cash on Thursdays to give to your child's teacher to purchase extra slices of pizza.
Care Solace
If you or a family member are looking for help with mental health or substance use, Care Solace can help you quickly find treatment options matched to your needs regardless of the circumstance. Care Solace is a complimentary and confidential service provided to students, staff, and their families by Wayne-Westland Community School District. Care Solace’s team is available 24/7/365 and can support you in any language.
