A MESSAGE FROM BRIAN FORSHEE, CFHS PRINCIPAL
Happy Sunday, CFHS Chargers,
I hope this message finds you well. As we approach the Thanksgiving break, I wanted to share some important updates and exciting news with you.
Firstly, this is the last week before Thanksgiving break. Please remember that this Friday is a student holiday, giving our students a well-deserved 4-day week. We hope everyone enjoys a restful and enjoyable break with family and friends.
I am thrilled to announce that our CFHS Volleyball team has achieved a remarkable victory against Cinco Ranch High School last Friday. They have now advanced to the State Semifinal round and will be competing against Austin Westlake High School. (Final 4) This is a significant achievement, and we are incredibly proud of our team. Letβs cheer them on as they aim for success in the semifinals!
Our CFHS Football team also had an outstanding performance, defeating Katy Paetow. They will now face Houston Lamar High School this Friday in the UIL Area Round game. Letβs show our support and school spirit as they strive to continue their winning streak.
In other exciting news, please join me in congratulating our Assistant Principal, Mr. Chris Wood, who has been named Interim Head Principal at Foster High School. Mr. Wood has been an invaluable member of our staff, and while we will miss him, we are excited for his new opportunity. He will begin his transition this week and officially start his new role on December 2nd. We wish him all the best in his new position.
Additionally, please be aware that the exemption window will open when we return from Thanksgiving break for all students who do not have any fines or fees. It is important to get these cleared this week, as they are posted in the cafeteria and outside the library.
Upcoming Events:
- CFHS Volleyball State Semifinal: Our volleyball team will compete in the UIL State Volleyball Semifinal game against Austin Westlake at Texas Lutheran University, 6:30 PM. Letβs show our support and cheer them on to victory!
- CFHS Football Area Round: Our football team will compete in the UIL Area Round game against Houston Lamar at Rhodes Stadium, 7 PM. Letβs rally behind our team and show our school spirit!
Letβs come together to support our teams - Go CFHS!
Reminder: Exemption request window opens after Thanksgiving break, please note the exemption absence policy: "A student shall have no more than three absences without a note from a medical professional or up to five absences with a note form a medical professional for at least two of those absences."
If you think you have extenuating circumstances, you must see Ms. Ware in the front office for an absences exemptions appeal form. This must be submitted before Dec 3rd at 4pm!
