La lectura es un canal que abre paso a la adquisición del conocimiento y es, sin duda, uno de los mejores hábitos que se puede adquirir; sin embargo, los expertos señalan que existe una enorme falta de interés.

Hoy en día sólo el 35% de los estudiantes en Arkansas leen al nivel de su grado. Este problema comienza incluso antes del kinder, ya que muy pocos niños ingresan al kinder listos para aprender.

A pesar de ello, debemos saber que esta actividad es necesaria y fomentarla en las niñas, niños y adolescentes es primordial. Pero… ¿cómo hacerlo? Para responder a esa pregunta me acompaña el Dr. Iván Iglesias Profesor Titular de Español, Coordinador del programa de español en el Departamento de Estudios Lingüísticos de la Universidad John Brown.
