Celebrating our Donors
CEF Welcomes Eight New Directors
As members of our local community, our board is a diverse make up of members who have either a personal and/or a professional partnership with Comal ISD and represent nearly every square mile of the district. Thanks to the continued generosity of our donors, CEF has the unique capacity to make a district-wide impact, and we volunteer our time and talents so that every campus benefits from our grant programs.
To achieve that, we are strategically focused to dually serve as ambassadors to align our mission with Comal ISD's Collaborative Vision, as well as provide exceptional stewardship to our donors to ensure that every dollar of your support is maximized through grant programs.
Please take a moment to meet our board, and enjoy reading through some of our recent achievements and celebrations, thanks to your support. Have a blessed Thanksgiving.

The Big Give Sets Precedent
Our first year participating in the The Big Give was a great success! The Big Give is a 24-hour online giving day that helps connect South Central Texas nonprofits with new and existing donors and gives nonprofits a chance to raise unrestricted funds.
Thanks to our commUNITY of donors, we were thrilled to have exceeded our fundraising goal, but more importantly we gained 81 new donors who believe in and support the work of CISD educators. This campaign beautifully showcased our mission, and we look forward to making The Big Give an annual tradition.
Congratulations to Craig Jendrusch, CEF Secretary and Spring Fling Chairman, who was our top individual earner raising $1,650 during the 24 hours of giving. Thank you to SeaWorld for donating a family pack of tickets to celebrate his achievement!

CEF Collects for PTA Clothes Closet
Making the holidays a bit more merry and bright, CEF board donated new undergarments to PTA Clothes Closet. Many parents utilize the clothing donation as part of their child's Christmas gift, so to make it more special, holiday wrapping paper and bags were donated too!
In 2019, the Comal ISD Council of PTAs launched the Clothes Closet to serve the basic needs of students and their families enrolled in kindergarten through 12th grade. The volunteer-run store accepts clothing donations throughout the school year with donation drives. Acceptable donations include new and gently used school-appropriate clothing, outerwear items, new socks, and new underwear for ages 5 to 18. All size clothing and under garments are appreciated.
Volunteers are always needed to sort, wash, fold, stock and assist customers. Volunteering at the Clothes Closet is a rewarding experience and we welcome you to join us! Sign up here. The Clothes Closet is located at 1298 Church Hill Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78130, behind Memorial Early College High School. comalclothescloset@gmail.com
CEF Donor Appreciation
CEF's donor appreciation event held on Nov. 14 at Screaming Goat Yard & Tap was a great success. The German/Wurstfest inspired theme was a fun celebration of cheers and beers for approximately 50 of our faithful donors who help make our mission come to life in classrooms across Comal ISD. Our donors truly are the G.O.A.T.!
