Words from our Principal
As we approach the fall break, I would like to share some of our highlights with you. Students received their first progress reports this week. Saturday School, AEC and credit recovery are up and running. If you have any questions about student grades and progress, please contact your child's teachers directly. If you are interested in interventions or support, please contact your child's counselor or Mr. Luis Rodriguez for guidance.
I have been able to recommend 5 new teachers for the open positions we have on campus. We are working with Human Resources to get those teachers placed in classrooms as quickly as possible. Many of our students will experience staffing changes in the next month. Please contact the new teachers with any questions or concerns you may have regarding the transition. In all cases the teachers are working with the substitutes in order to ensure a smooth transition for our students.
There will be no credit recovery or Saturday school classes during the fall break. The last day for students will be on September 21st and they will return on WEDNESDAY, October 10th.
Don't forget to mark your calendars for Bonita Vista Middle's 50th Birthday Bash! There will be a DJ, food vendors, and plenty of activities for students and their families. 50th Anniversary t-shirts are available in our ASB for $10 and hoodies for $20.
Thank you for your continued support and I look forward to continuing our work together throughout this year.
Sincerely,
Teresa Kramer

Everyone wants to keep their kids safe and healthy. One area that may get overlooked is the safety of our kids on the internet. Sometimes we just assume kids know the right thing to do. The best way to keep our kids safe on the internet is to talk to them about it. There are a lot of great resources available to educate yourself on the subject and make it easier to speak to your kids about. A few are listed here to help you begin to help your child develop safe internet behaviors
