Senior Reminders!
Please keep in mind the following information as you continue in the college application process and begin receiving the results of your college applications:
Remember that the grades you earn senior year are a very important component to your
overall success as you progress towards graduation, for college acceptance and your future postsecondary goals! Be sure to check your personal email and follow up on any communications from the colleges where you have applied. Most colleges/universities assign student applicants a web portal. This is where you will see if your application is complete, need additional information or to check decision results. Keep in mind that college results will continue to be released throughout the spring, with most results released in late March. Be aware that college acceptances are conditional upon satisfactory completion of senior year. For most colleges and universities, you will be required to submit an end of year final senior transcript.
**Please note that once you apply to college, you should not change your senior schedule. Any changes must be reported to the colleges to which you have applied.**
Early Decision (ED) and (EDII)
Early Decision I and Early Decision II, students are permitted to apply early only to one college or university, with exception of scholarship or program deadlines. You, your parents and counselor are all required to sign the conditions of the ED agreement. If admitted, students are required to immediately withdraw all other applications, including other private and public colleges/universities, including UC’s and CSU’s. Failure to do so is in violation of your ED agreement and not only impacts your peers, but the integrity of Del Norte High School.
Restrictive Early Action (REA), Early Action, Regular and Rolling Admissions
Accepted students are typically not required to commit to attending a particular college until on or before May 1.
