Did someone say Remote Learning WEEK 11?
ELA - Audible INDEPENDENT Books
- June 1 is the goal for completed Audible Books
- We will meet on Monday during Zoom for Book Chats and fine tuning Independent Book Google Slide Decks
- This week we will also come together to share our Independent book choice
- We will work in small groups to look at further reading choices for the end of the year/Summer Read
- We will continue to focus on the importance of continually reading, being on a reading schedule and reading for "fun"
World History 6 - The Early Middle Ages
- Students are working in partners (we established these in Friday's Zoom classroom)
- Collaborating to complete Pre-Reading task of vocabulary and documents
- They are PROS at this, and we have partnered similarly when we were in the classroom
- Partner work will continue this week with reading and questions
- Socialization, Collaboration, Effective Partnership and Effort

It's surreal...
With this new normal at the moment, I'm finding it more important than ever to focus on a growth mindset. The ability to use effort with learning and persistence. It always brings to mind my favorite quote "Mistakes are proof that you are trying"!!
As we approach these last few weeks of Remote Learning - it will be a growth mindset that will help us reach that successful goal of conquering GRADE 6, both in and out off the SCC classroom!
