Dear Winston Campus Families,
Spring is a great time to reinforce strong attendance habits. Every day in class is an opportunity for learning and growth. Even missing just a couple of days per month can impact a student’s progress. Simple routines like consistent mornings and scheduling appointments outside school hours can help. Thank you for supporting your child’s success by making attendance a priority!
As we approach the midterm period, please continue to check your child's grades to ensure they are keeping up with their assignments. Your support in monitoring their progress is greatly appreciated.
We also ask for your continued cooperation during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. Please drop off students in the church parking lot only. The front parking lot is reserved for staff and buses to ensure a smooth and safe traffic flow.
Celebrating Our Warriors!
🎉 Wrestling – Congratulations to our wrestling team for an amazing season! Our wrestlers competed well and earned 2nd place at the District 15 Wrestling Tournament!
🏐 Girls Volleyball – Our girls volleyball team also had a fantastic season! 8th grade earning 2nd place in the District Tournament and 7th grade earning 3rd place.
🎶 Band & Orchestra – Our band and orchestra students had a great showing at the IGSMA Organizational Competition today! Our **band students performed exceptionally well, demonstrated professionalism, and brought home a Division 1 rating!
We are so proud of our students and their hard work! Thank you for your ongoing support, and have a wonderful week!

La primavera es un momento ideal para reforzar buenos hábitos de asistencia. Cada día en clase es una oportunidad para el aprendizaje y el crecimiento. Incluso faltar solo un par de días al mes puede afectar el progreso de un estudiante. Rutinas simples, como mañanas consistentes y programar citas fuera del horario escolar, pueden marcar la diferencia. ¡Gracias por apoyar el éxito de su hijo haciendo de la asistencia una prioridad!
A medida que nos acercamos al período de mitad de trimestre, les pedimos que continúen revisando las calificaciones de sus hijos para asegurarse de que estén al día con sus tareas. Su apoyo en el seguimiento de su progreso es muy apreciado.

🎉 Lucha Libre – ¡Felicitaciones a nuestro equipo de lucha por una temporada increíble! Nuestros luchadores compitieron con gran esfuerzo y lograron el 2.º lugar en el Torneo de Lucha del Distrito 15.
🏐 Voleibol Femenino – Nuestro equipo de voleibol femenino también tuvo una gran temporada, 8th logrando el 2.º lugar en el Torneo del Distrito y 7th logrando el 3rd lugar.
🎶 Banda y Orquesta – ¡Nuestros estudiantes de banda y orquesta tuvieron una excelente participación en la Competencia Organizacional de IGSMA! Nuestros **estudiantes de banda actuaron de manera excepcional, demostraron gran profesionalismo y obtuvieron una calificación de División 1.
¡Estamos muy orgullosos de nuestros estudiantes y su arduo trabajo! Gracias por su continuo apoyo y ¡que tengan una excelente semana!

Dear Warrior Families,
After we return from Spring Break, our students will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) test. Testing will take place from April 8-10, during which students will complete three math tests and two reading tests over three days.
This test is important as it reflects what your child has learned throughout the year and helps the district make critical decisions regarding curriculum and instruction. Additionally, a composite score from the test is included on each school’s state report card.
We kindly ask for your support in ensuring that students are well-rested, present, and on time during these testing days. Attendance is crucial, as any missed tests must be made up, which takes away from valuable instructional time.

Queridas familias de los Warriors,
Después de las vacaciones de primavera, nuestros estudiantes tomarán la Evaluación de Preparación de Illinois (IAR). Las pruebas se llevarán a cabo del 8 al 10 de abril, durante los cuales los estudiantes completarán tres exámenes de matemáticas y dos exámenes de lectura en un período de tres días.
Esta evaluación es importante porque refleja lo que su hijo ha aprendido a lo largo del año y ayuda al distrito a tomar decisiones clave sobre el currículo y la enseñanza. Además, un puntaje compuesto de la prueba se incluye en el reporte estatal de cada escuela.

La inscripción para el año escolar 2025-2026 abrio el martes, 11 de febrero.
Every student—new and returning—must register each year. Please plan to register early and take time to ensure your contact information and your child’s emergency contact information are correct and up to date.
Registration for the 2025-2026 school year will open on Tuesday, February 11. We encourage families to start preparing their documents as soon as possible. Learn more about the registration process on our website.
District 15 will be transitioning from Infinite Campus to PowerSchool in 2025-26. Be on the lookout for upcoming emails to create your new PowerSchool Parent Portal account which will be necessary in order to register. Thank you for your timely action as we launch this new system. We are committed to making this transition as seamless as possible.
