For Your Information:
This year only the 7th grade students will learn about mental health and how to seek help if they are worried about themselves or a friend. We are using a program called SOS Signs of Suicide. The program teaches students about this difficult topic and encourages them to seek help. Students will participate in a guided video clip discussion with School Counselor about depression, suicide, and what to do if they are concerned about a friend. Signs of Suicide (SOS) presentation that will take place on Nov 12 (Ms. Wolf class) and Nov 13 (Ms. Wright class).
If you do not want your student to participate in the S.O.S presentation, please ONLY return or email me back completed OPT-OUT Slip by Nov 8. If we do not have a signed OPT-OUT slip, we will assume your student has permission to participate. All of this information has been emailed only to 7th Grade parents.
