THE STRENGTH OF THE WOLF IS ITS PACK
March 1, 2024
We have been preparing...come and see us!
Fiddle Fest at East High School Tonight at 7:00pm!
Dear Wasco Families,
Your input is important to me. I review the survey results to understand the viewpoints of all the groups I serve: families, teachers, and students. Would you consider completing the 5Essentials survey? If there is any information you would like to share with me personally, I am available to talk. Your input and partnership with me is extremely important.
Also, at this time I am beginning to plan for next school year! I am thrilled with the learning outcomes of the year and look forward to your child’s next level of learning. If you have suggestions or information to share about your child’s placement, you can complete this survey. The survey has space for you to share your observations about your child’s learning needs and grouping considerations. The survey will remain open until April 7th and I will use the information as I review the class lists created by Wasco staff.
I cannot guarantee that all requests will be met, however our focus is ensuring that your child has his/her best learning environment. We are here to arrange our resources so that each child has the best opportunity to succeed during their school day. The April 7th deadline is firm. After your input, I work with the staff to arrange classes and these are complicated arrangements, dependent on many factors.

By the way, if you have a friend or neighbor with a little one, will you please spread the word- we have started kindergarten registration.
To take the survey, please visit https://survey.5-essentials.org/Illinois/ and select PARENT survey.
Kind Regards,
Principal Brennan

Community News / Resources
The District 303 Board has approved boundary maps for elementary, middle, and high schools. Maps are effective with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall. The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback. Please see the parent notice from Superintendent Gordon to learn more and review the approved maps.
Early Release
One Wednesday per month, students will have an early release and dismissal will occur at 2:10pm. Please refer to the district website.

When using the drop off lane, please drive all the way forward so that we can load/unload as many cars as possible. Please stay in your car. If you wish to get out and load your child, you are welcome to park in the lot. By following this procedure, we can expedite everyone’s waiting times in the car lane.
