About NBISP
The North Bay International Studies Project is the Sonoma State University site for the California International Studies Project, a state-wide subject matter project that works to inspire and support California educators as they develop global competence and active citizenship in their Pk-12 students. We serve educators from all disciplines and grade levels by developing teacher leaders, and a professional learning community.
Scholarship Available to Attend SCOE Training on Culturally Responsive Pedagogy
NBISP will send one local educator to represent our learning community at the upcoming (begins Sept 9th) Culturally Responsive Pedagogy Training held at SCOE in Sonoma County. Email for more information.
Scholarship Available to Attend the Global Education Forum in Philadelphia, October 13-15
NBISP will send one local educator to represent our learning community at the Global Education Forum in Philadelphia. The Global Education Forum is an opportunity to engage in a critical conversation between K–12 and higher education educators about how best to prepare students for a global world. Support Available for 6th-12th Grade Teachers Piloting PBL with a Global Lens
Our network is here to support to any teacher interested in piloting PBL with a global lens, with the goal of bringing a team of students to profile their final public product at the One Planet Living Youth Summit on Saturday, April 29th. How does your curriculum, and how do your students, fit into the bigger picture?

One Planet Living Youth Summit
The One Planet Youth Summit is a place for teachers and students to develop confidence and passion when it comes to making a positive difference in society, to see themselves as activists and leaders for social and environmental justice—especially through seeing the diversity of people around the world who are fighting the root causes of climate change.
