Flu and COVID Vaccine Clinic
Dear Thomas Viaduct Middle School Community:
Each year, the Howard County Public School System partners with the Maryland Partnership for
Prevention to bring flu immunizations into our schools for students. This year, they will also be offering
the latest Covid vaccine if it is available at the time of the clinics. The clinic at Thomas Viaduct Middle
School will be held on October 16, 2024, during school hours. If you would like your child to be
vaccinated against the flu and/or Covid at this clinic, please register at this link:
https://www.marylandvax.org/appointment/en/reg/0512621719
You are not required to provide your child's insurance information. If you have any concerns about the new Covid vaccine, you are advised to
speak with your child's pediatrician. All in-school clinics will be closed to registration one week before
the clinic date to allow our health room staff time to review and prepare the consents and make sure
enough vaccine is ordered. If you wish to cancel your child's appointment after then, please call the
nurse at your child's school. If you have any questions, please call your school's health room at 410-313-
8714 or email the school nurse at cheryl_harris@hcpss.org. Thank you.

As it stands, the current candidates are:
* President: Open
* Vice President: Bertina Suber-Hanley

REMINDERS
TVMS is participating in Terracycling this year!
Terracycling is a company that helps to recycle material that is not normally collected for collection. Through November 19, 2024, we are participating in the Takis recycling competition. Please help us by collecting your empty Takis bags and bringing them to TVMS to place in the collection box in the cafeteria during all lunch shifts. The top 3 schools will win some fabulous prizes and the top school will win a Takis celebration with a Takis truck!!! Help TVMS win by collecting your empty Takis bags and bringing them to school! Thanks!

Clothing to Cash Recycling Program!
Our large white collection bin is at the edge of the school parking lot nearest Hanover Hills Elementary School. Please help us fill our bin with as many plastic bags of new or gently used clothing, shoes and other textiles. Our school will earn money for every pound we collect.
OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION/ REMINDERS
FAMILY FILE UPDATE
Update your family information for the new school year. It is mandatory that all parents/ guardians verify and/ or update emergency information for each child each school year. Updating this information provides us with the most current emergency contact information, and also ensures that you are receiving important information and updates for HCPSS and TVMS.
Log in to HCPSS Connect, select the More Options tab on the left and then select Family File in the center column.
Outside Food Expectations
Food delivery services (i.e. Door Dash, Uber Eats, etc.) are not allowed. Delivery will be refused as we do not have the capability to process this during the school day. If a parent would like to bring their child's lunch to the school, we ask that you do so prior to the start of your child's lunch shift. Parents will need to leave the lunch with our Front Office staff.
