Thanksgiving is a time to be able to sit and reflect on what you are most grateful for. For us on the PTO Executive Board, we are most thankful for all of our amazing Fernbrook Teachers, Staff, Administrators and Families. What you all are doing makes a huge difference to us all (and you may not even see it.) Whether you're making a school warm for a student or family who may otherwise struggle to connect, graciously volunteering your time for different events or committees, participating or supporting in our fundraisers or you're helping a teacher get through a hard day (or even week), you are the difference. So we wanted to extend a very BIG thank you to you all! We would not have such an amazing Fernbrook Community without our continued partnership.

THE HOLIDAY SHOPPE WILL BE OPEN DECEMBER 9, 2024- DECEMBER 12, 2024 (SCHOOL HOURS ONLY)

We are inviting your child to participate in our upcoming Fernbrook Holiday Gift Shoppe at our school. This program makes it possible for our children to experience the joy of choosing their own special holiday gifts for family and friends.

This program will create wonderful memories for your child while teaching them to budget their money and make their own decisions. Gifts price ranges from $1.00 to $10.00.

The Holiday Shoppe Committee is looking for parent/guardian/grandparent volunteers to assist with the holiday shoppe event during your child's class time to shop. We are also looking for assistance with clean-up on the evening of December 12, 2024. Sign up to volunteer, today!

*Please note that in order for you to be able to volunteer, you must be a current PTO Member. If you are not one yet, sign up and become a Fernbrook PTO Member, now! Note- Grandparents are covered under PTO Family Memberships.

The Fernbrook Thanksgiving Outreach Initiative was a tremendous success! The Outreach Committee would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all of the families and teachers that contributed to the drive. We were able to provide gift cards to 8 of our very own Fernbrook families in need to be able to purchase food for their Thanksgiving Day meals.

We could not have done this without the help of our wonderful school nurse, Mrs. Jennifer Cutri and the support of Dr. Bernal and Mrs. Amin.

In addition, the PTO Executive Board would also like to send a special THANK YOU to the members of the Outreach Committee: Jodi McLean and Kelly Meola. We appreciate all of the time you put into the planning and execution for this effort.

The Outreach Committee will be hosting a Winter Drive for our Fernbrook Families during the month of December- be on the lookout for more information on how you can help and/or assist.

The Fifth Grade "Wild West Fest" was a tremendous success, with 62 students attending and enjoying an evening filled with fun, crafts, and games. From themed activities to engaging stations, the event created unforgettable memories for our students.

This incredible night would not have been possible without the dedication and hard work of our amazing volunteers. A heartfelt thank-you to Teri Fitzpatrick, Jamie Rajkumar, Loren Darzano, Miranda Paull, Fran Boatman, Susan Phelps, Vanessa Falco, Yeshey Wangchuk, Marie Chahed, Jacqueline Laurice, Zamira Sanchez, Sandra Valle, Jill Gross, Anny Rufino, and Mahua Banerjee. A special shout out to the one and only, Jay Zimmerman, for designing and building some amazing Wild West game props for the students.

The Fernbrook PTO Eboard would also like to recognize and thank our amazing Fifth Grade Committee members (Jeanne Glodek, Melissa Issa, Kirsten Myron and Melissa Zimmerman) for all of the time, and effort that went into planning and implementing such a great night. Our fifth graders had an amazing night!

Thank you for making the "Wild West Fest" an unforgettable event for our students.
