Marcus 9 ID Notice
If you are stopped in the hall without your MARCUS 9 ID on at any time of the day by any staff member on campus you will receive consequences. It will not matter if you have it in your pocket or hanging on your backpack. Your MARCUS 9 ID must be on your neck at all times this does not include Middle School ID's.
Remember that a new ID costs $5 in the front office. Please take care of your ID needs as soon as possible!
Lost and Found
Please check lost and found in the grey cabinet near the vending machines. It already has a lot of lost items seeking their owners!

Our campus counselors and counseling mental health class will be hosting our annual Health and Wellness Expo this Friday, February 28 during all lunches in the library. Everyone is welcome to attend and learn about ways to care for themselves such as goal setting, how sour candy helps our nervous system, strategies to manage emotions and even a visit from a furry friend! All students who attend will have a chance to win wonderful prizes such as legos, art supplies and gift cards donated from our PTSA.

LISD HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) college fair is going to look different this year. The actual HBCU Fair will be Feb. 21st at Hebron High School – and it will only be open to juniors and seniors this year.
To support and promote within the 9th and 10th graders, LISD is doing an HBCU College Tour to each HS campus in the district. The tour will be here at MHS on Jan. 29th during lunches 11:30am – 1:30pm. Here they will be sharing information about HBCUs, giveaways for trivia, and Aramark food trucks are partnering with the HBCU tour, providing food for sale as well as customized beverages promoting HBCU schools.

VASE Meeting
There will be a mandatory meeting for all Students going to VASE with Mr. Fletcher. Students can attend either the meeting before at 7:30 am or after school at 3:40pm in RM B103 on Marcus Main campus. Students should bring all VASE paperwork to the meeting.

AP students must register now if you want to take an AP exam this May. The registration deadline is Feb. 28th, at 3:35 pm. All registrations and payments must be complete BEFORE 3:35 pm on Feb. 28th. Freshmen, please be sure to check the yearbook portrait pages posted in the cafeteria. If you see a problem with your name, grade, or photo, scan the QR code and fill out the form.

HBCU
LISD HBCU (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) college fair is going to look different this year. The actual HBCU Fair will be Feb. 21st at Hebron High School – and it will only be open to juniors and seniors this year.
To support and promote within the 9th and 10th graders, LISD is doing an HBCU College Tour to each HS campus in the district. The tour will be here at MHS on Jan. 29th during lunches 11:30am – 1:30pm. Here they will be sharing information about HBCUs, giveaways for trivia, and Aramark food trucks are partnering with the HBCU tour, providing food for sale as well as customized beverages promoting HBCU schools.

TECC - East is having community night Jan. 14th from 5:30pm - 7pm. and TECC-West is having community night Jan. 16th from 5:30pm - 7pm.This would be great opportunity to explore the program, learn about certifications earned, and meet the teacher all before course registration. Make sure to attend if interested.
