Conference Reflection
Gara Ipock, Mountain Grove, attended the Interface Conference in Tan Tera and reflected on Brandy Retasket and Holly Neal's informative and engaging presentation on the Coders program. Ipock shared that "Their session offered valuable insights into incorporating coding into everyday lessons, with practical examples that educators can easily implement in the classroom. They demonstrated how tools like cute bots, micro-bits, and Scratch can be seamlessly integrated into subjects such as math, science, and language arts.
The presenters provided a fantastic mix of hands-on examples and classroom-ready tips, showcasing the real-world applications of coding. Their explanation of how these tools can spark creativity and enhance problem-solving skills in students was particularly inspiring. Attendees left with a deeper understanding of how coding can make learning more interactive and enjoyable for students.
Overall, Retasket and Neal’s presentation at the Interface Conference was highly informative and full of useful strategies, making it a must-see for educators interested in bringing technology into their teaching."
