CONGRATULATIONS!
POTENTIAL ENERGY ROBOTICS TEAM
Congratulations to Potential Energy, a student-led FTC robotics team, made up entirely of MVHS students! For the fourth year, this dedicated group has qualified for the State Championship, and for the second year in a row, they're heading to Worlds! This past weekend, they dominated the MN First Tech Challenge, winning the Nano division, the entire state tournament, and the prestigious Inspire Award! In April, the team will compete in a world robotics competition in Houston, Texas. Congratulations to all participants!

GIRLS BASKETBALL: This is the final week of the regular season for Girls Basketball! The following seniors were celebrated on Tuesday (2/18): Liza, Kate, Hannah, Dani, Veronica, Jocelyn, Lily, Nora, Alaina, Makenna and Gigi! Their final regular season game is Thursday (2/20). They travel to Cretin-Derham Hall. Tip-off is at 7:00 PM. Hope to see you there! Go Mustangs! ALL-1N!
QUIZ BOWL: The Quiz Bowl team competes on Saturday (2/22) at the ACRONYM Pop Culture Quiz Bowl Tournament in Burnsville. For more information: Michael Yu | 2028yum89@moundsviewschools.org.

BOYS LACROSSE: Save the Date! Boys Lacrosse will be hosting “Back To Lacrosse Night” on Monday (2/24) at 7:00 PM in the Forum.
BOYS TRACK & FIELD – SAVE THE DATES: There will be an informational and planning meeting for all boys interested in being part of the Track & Field team at Mounds View. All boys grades 8-12 are encouraged to attend. The meeting is Thursday (2/27) at 3:30 PM in the Cafeteria. The parent and athlete preseason meeting will be Thursday (3/13) at 7:00 PM in the auditorium.
PICKLEBALL: Great news MVHS Pickleballers! Smash Park, in Roseville, is forming a High School Pickleball League! Practice will be on Tuesdays from 4-6 PM and run from March 4-April 8. MUSTANG BOYS SWIM & DIVE
The Boys Swim & Dive team went up against the Forest Lake Rangers for their final dual meet and earned another win for the season! It was also Senior Night and the team honored the following seniors with a potluck and cake after the meet: Peyton Kwan, Balraj Gill, Joe Cole, Luke Schmitzer and Henry Collins. On Saturday (2/22) the JV squad will participate in their conference meet, followed by sections for the varsity group next week. Go Mustangs!
MUSTANG BOYS BASKETBALL
Another big win on the road last night for the boys basketball team at Woodbury. Three games remain in the conference season before playoffs for your 17-6 Mustangs. Next up is a tough matchup vs Cretin Derham Hall on Friday (2/21) at home at 7:00 PM. Come cheer them on!!

Attendance at the pepfest is optional. If you have your own transportation, you may leave campus. If you need to wait for the bus, go to the library.
Winter Wonderland Dance
NEW THIS YEAR:
- MVHS Alum, Adam Higley will be DJing the dance from 8-11 PM (accepting song requests)
- Hot Cocoa Bar - enjoy a hot chocolate with all the toppings!
- Smaller dance floor and more seating in the commons.
MVHS STUDENTS PURCHASING TICKETS:
To access your ticket, enter your student ID in the "Have a passcode? option." You are allowed to buy 1 or 2 tickets for this event with your student code. IF YOUR GUEST DOES NOT ATTEND MOUNDS VIEW HIGH SCHOOL:
- MV student should purchase the ticket for their guest using the same link.
- You MUST get a "guest form" from the main office. This needs to be filled out, approved by the guest's school and returned to Lori Diekoff in the main office by Friday (2/21).
No refunds for guest tickets (non MVHS students) if the guest form is not completed and turned in by the deadline.
SENIOR PARTY REGISTRATION
Register your student for the senior party by Saturday (3/1) to get the early registration price of $80.00. Price will increase to $90.00 on Sunday (3/2). Thank you for your support! Your senior isn't going to want to miss this party...a send-off to their days at MV with all of their friends, prizes, entertainment, activities and food!! **Send in photos of your senior and their friends and/or activities. ULTIMATE FRISBEE
Registration is open for the Mounds View Ultimate Frisbee spring season. Open to all students in grades 9 to 12. Mounds View offers both girls and boys teams. Experienced athletes looking for cross training and new players are all welcome. Spring season practices begin in early March. Register by Thursday (2/20).
NHS ART FAIR
The Mounds View NHS Art Fair Board is holding an art fair on Saturday (3/1). Everyone is encouraged to submit their own artwork by Friday (2/21). Here is the link for the google form to submit! NHS Members will get one (1) mandatory hour, per artwork submitted.
Bring your family and friends to check out some amazing artwork and explore your creativity!
SPRING SPORTS REGISTRATION
The registration portal opens Monday (2/24). Spring sports first day of tryouts/practice are as follows:
- March 10: softball, boys track & field, girls track & field
- March 17: boys golf, girls golf, baseball, boys volleyball
- March 24: boys tennis
- March 31: boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse
Spring Weight Training information to follow.
Your child must have a valid sports physical on file prior to registering. Physicals are valid for three (3) years from the date of the exam. IF your child's physical expires during the season, you won't be able to register. Parents can check the current status of their child’s physical through their ParentVUE account by selecting the Student Info tab. The physical date is located at the bottom of the page.
