We are eagerly anticipating the start of the school year. Our staff has been diligently preparing for the upcoming year and we cannot wait for the halls to be filled with our Kendall students once again. Mark your family calendar with all of the important dates! Remember, every day in school matters so please avoid travel on school attendance days!

IPSD 2024-2025 District Calendar

Classlists will be available in ParentVUE beginning at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, August 12th. To learn your child's classroom, you will need your ParentVUE log-in and password. If you do not have your log-in, please use the site features to access this information. Our school office does not have access to your password. If you are transferring from another 204 school, your ParentVUE Log-In remains the same.

Please understand that teachers do not return to work until August 19th so if you reach out to them with questions, you may not hear back from them until the following week.

On Friday, August 16th, you may access your child's stop information in ParentVUE.

To access, log in to ParentVUE. Select "Student Info." Scroll all the way down to find "Transportation Information."

6:15-7:00 Students with last names beginning with N-Z

Please arrive at Door 1 (main entrance). Your child's teacher will meet you there. Parents and students will walk to their classroom together for orientation. Kindergarten students will leave with parents at the end of orientation.

*RISE students - please see email from Mrs. Runde with specific information for the RISE program.

Kindergarten Students start school on the same day as all other students, Thursday, August 22nd.

First Day of School for Grades K-5 is Thursday, August 22nd.

Kendall students in all grades will meet teachers on the blacktop behind our school. Teachers will be holding signs to identify themselves. Staff will be present beginning at 8:45 a.m. Students will enter the building at 9:00 with their teachers and classmates. Bus riders will be led to the black top to meet their teachers. RISE students will meet their teachers at Door #12.

In the event of rain, students will meet their teachers in the gymnasium. Doors will open at 8:45. Students will leave the gym at 9:00 with their teachers and classmates. Parents will say farewell outside the gym. RISE students will meet their teachers at Door #12.

As in years past, our school district will continue to follow a late start time for every student on Wednesdays. This time is critical to our school and district professional development. The school day will begin at 9:15 a.m. instead of 9:05 a.m. This late start delays both school drop off and morning bus schedules.

Morning Schedule for Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday:

8:50 a.m. Doors open

9:05 a.m. School Starts

Morning Schedule for Wednesday:

9:00 a.m. Doors open

9:15 a.m. School Starts

The late start schedule does NOT change dismissal time. Students are dismissed at 3:35 everyday.

Recess/Lunch Schedule

1st Grade: 10:50-11:25

3rd Grade: 11:15-11:50

2nd Grade: 11:40-12:15

4th Grade: 12:05-12:40

5th Grade: 12:30-1:05

Kindergarten: 12:55-1:30

Snack

Only classes with the earliest lunch or latest lunch (1st grade and Kindergarten) will have a scheduled snack during the school day. This may be in the morning or afternoon based on lunch times for each grade. Students are asked to bring a healthy snack to school. Snack takes place in the lunchroom and any individual lunchroom allergy plans are implemented.

• We encourage students to login prior to the first day of school
• If a student does not remember his or her password, please use these directions to reset the password at home using a Pin from ParentVUE.
