Summer Interns Explore Careers and Build Skills!
TCC Construction Students - Summer Internships at IPS
Two TCC Construction Skilled Trades students, Amelia from LHS and Ethan from MVHS, completed summer internships with Independent Plumbing Solutions in Fort Collins. Amelia worked in the office creating social media content, processing estimates and invoices, and performing various office tasks. Ethan worked in the warehouse and the field, preparing parts for plumbers and assisting staff on the remodeling team. Congratulations on your successful internships!
From Intern to Employee - Manufacturing Internship at Fiberlok
Nothing like hearing "you're hired" at the end of a summer internship! Annilene, a recent 2024 graduate from LHS, recently completed a summer internship with Fiberlok where she inspected materials for quality, developed written processes for various steps in their manufacturing process, and enjoyed being part of a system that makes custom uniform patches through Fiberlok's unique process. Anni recently accepted a full-time position with Fiberlok where she'll continue in a quality control role. Congratulations! This internship was made possible through the NOCO Manufacturing Sector Partnership's summer internship program, coordinated by Larimer County Economic & Workforce Development.
Behind the Scenes - Stage Production Internships with TSD
Summer is a busy time for TSD Facilities and 2 MVHS students, Kian and Autumn, participated in a Stage Production / Auditorium Internship where they assisted with lights and sound for summer dance productions, repaired lighting and performed maintenance in many of TSD's auditoriums. They even had the opportunity to learn soldering as they rewired microphones under the supervision of the Lincoln Center's Stage Manager. Congratulations on 2 successful internships and for keeping TSD's performance spaces in excellent shape!
