NCHSE Executive Council
The NCHSE Executive Council welcomes our newest member, Mallory Dufek, G-W Publisher Acquisitions Editor, K-12 Health & PE, Health Science, and FAC as the publishers/resource providers category representative. Mallory will complete the one-year term vacated by Nicholas Wells’ election as the NCHSE treasurer. This representative position will be up for election for a two-year term at the 2024 annual meeting. Our congratulations to Mallory on this appointment. Through her work with G-W Publisher, Mallory manages three product portfolios (including G-W’s 1st and 3rd most profitable) and is responsible for setting portfolio strategy, including creating and owning P&L statements, managing investments, and overseeing product development. She utilizes strong relationship-building skills with cross-functional stakeholders, external partners, authors, and educators to create market-leading products. Mallory Dufek will be an excellent representative for our second largest category.

Classroom Behavior Management-HSEA Webinar
Teachers go through rigorous training to teach their subject. They may spend countless dollars and hours preparing themselves for their daily presentations. They walk out confident that their training and preparation has adequately prepared them for what is to come. Academically they are ready. Unfortunately, all this training and preparation can be less effective if it does not address a major barrier that stands to block the effectiveness of the teacher. That barrier is DISCIPLINE. The lack of classroom discipline negatively affects the learning environment. There are specific steps to be taken. When followed, these have yielded a more productive learning environment. These will have a positive effect both in and out of the classroom.
