I want to remind everyone of our drop off/pick up procedures for cars at Sierra School:

NO PARKING in the front of the school. NO DROP OFF in front of the school. These spots are for staff, who need to be at work. **The exception is for Extended Day drop off/pick up. You may park in front of the crosswalk from 7:00am-8:20am. After 8:20am THERE IS NO PARKING. This area is for our buses.
Please utilize the parking lot behind the District Office, or the parking lot at Federated Church if you would like to park, get out of your car, and walk with your child.
The front parking lot at the District Office is a continuous, moving loop for quick jump out/jump in the car.

I realize our unique parking situation is not ideal, but it is important that as parents, you are following these guidelines and expectations-particularly the front of the school rules. Please reach out if you have any questions.

Library News

Hello Dragons!

The books and I are so glad to be back in the grove of things. Your students have been coming to the library to hear great stories and to check books out. As a reminder, students need to bring their books back every week to either return or renew. If a student does not bring their book back they are not able to get a book with their class which makes the books and I very sad. If you receive an overdue email or paper slip that may come home, please take time to locate the missing book to get it back to the library for other students to enjoy. Accelerated Reader points earned by 2nd-5th graders from quizzes will be awarded in the beginning of October. Please save the date! Our Fall Literati book fair will be October 26th -November 1st. It will be a wonderful way to either get christmas shopping done or stock up on books for the breaks. Remember, good things happen when you read!
