Future Freshmen Night/9th GradeAcademy Exploration
Please join us Tuesday, 12/10, from 5:30 to 7 pm for our Future Freshmen/Academy Exploration Night!
Our Community is welcome to visit us any time between 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm to explore, but please note the following:
Co-curricular Fair (athletics and clubs available)- in the Accelerator
- 6:00 to 7:00
IEP and 504 Procedures at the High School Level - in D100 or A201
- Session 1 - 600 to 630
Session 2 - 630 to 700
Maps will be handed out with Academy and Content Locations with the following directions:
- Academy Pathways will be in their learning labs and other contents upstairs.
- Registrar's office will be open for questions, but we will not be accepting open-enrollment or registration at this time.
- Counselors will be available to answer questions in F117.
- Our EL Community Liason will be available to answer questions in the ITC.
- The Bookstore will be open selling gear and CV swag!
9th Grade Academy Exploration:
- All freshmen will be submitting their 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice beginning January 14th.
- This evening is your opportunity to explore those choices.
- Teachers and Student Pathway Leaders will be available to answer questions.
- This evening is not intended to be a parent-teacher conference; if you have questions regarding your student's grade, please email the teacher.
Future Freshmen:
- All families and future freshmen are encouraged to explore the campus and check out the co-curricluar fair.
- The tour is self-guided, but there will be staff and students available to assist.

Park south of the campus and enter through the gates to the left and right of the Accelerator. We will have Canyon View Student Leaders directing and answering questions.

Counselors Corner
COURSE SELECTION FOR GRADES 10 AND 11:
On December 9th and 10th course selection presentations will be taking place with you the students in grades 10 and 11. Then on December 12th and 13th individual meetings will take place with those same students to review their course selection sheets for next year.
WEST-MEC:
REMINDER: that applications are due to the counseling office by December 20th.
BALANCING OF CLASSES FOR NEXT SEMESTER:
Counselors have been asked to take a look at class rosters and make necessary changes to student schedules. Counselors will communicate any and all changes with the students. If you have concerns or questions please reach out to your grade level Administrator.

Become a Partner in Education
Lower your taxes and become a Partner in Education! You can send all of your state taxes to the State of Arizona or make a contribution to a public school and receive a state income tax credit of up to $200 for individual taxpayers or $400 for married couples filing jointly. Arizona Law (ARS 43-1089.01) gives you this opportunity when you contribute to extracurricular activities in public school.
The tax credit is a dollar-for-dollar reduction of your tax liability and is available to all taxpayers who reside in Arizona regardless of whether they have students in school or live in the school district. Corporations are not eligible.
