Vernfield's Annual Pumpkin Display
Every year, families decorate, carve, or paint pumpkins for display on the front property during the last full week of October. Please remember that pumpkins should be decorated appropriately for all elementary school students to enjoy.
Undecorated or uncarved pumpkins are also welcome!
Where should pumpkins be placed?
-On the black granite sitting wall along the front of the school
-In any mulched beds
-In front of the Vernfield Elementary School sign on the front of the building
-At the foot of any trees along the driveway
-Along the curbing
-Along the bus loop
When can pumpkins be dropped off?
-Sunday, October 27th between 9am and 6pm
-Monday, October 28th between 9am and 3pm
When should pumpkins be picked up?
-Friday, November 1st between 9am and 3pm
-Any pumpkins left at Vernfield after 3pm on Friday, November 1st will be disposed of
Fall Costume Parade and Socials
On Thursday, October 31st, Vernfield will hosting its Fall Costume Parade and Socials. Students are welcome to bring their costumes to school in a bag labeled with their name.
From 1:45pm - 2:15pm, students will dress in their costumes for a small parade outside. Weather permitting, parents and guests are allowed to report to the playground to watch the parade.
After the parade, the students will return to their classrooms for a social.
Thank you to all family members who have volunteered to help organize the classroom socials. Please note that in order to volunteer in the school, you must provide a completed Volunteer Registration and Disclosure form on the districts website AND have your license scanned by the front office. You can save time on the day of the social if you come to the school on a prior day to complete these items.

Please join the Vernfield HSA for the Sr. Hawks Enchanted Event, on Friday, November 15th from 6pm-7:30pm in the school gym.

Magician Kevin Shelly will be performing a magic show and snacks will be provided. More information can be found in the accompanying flyer.
