MCCHS Friday Focus
268th Issue - May 5, 2023
From the Desk of Mr. Brad Williams
It is a busy season here at Marian as we approach the end of the year. With a fun, successful prom behind us we look forward to the end of the academic year with final exams on the horizon as well as celebrating our students with an Honors Day gathering and Graduation.
These events stir up many thoughts and emotions - the stress of busyness, the preparation for final exams, the bittersweetness that comes with Graduation as students transition from one stage of life to another.
At this stage of the year, I think it’s important to slow down in an effort to cherish and appreciate the time we all have here at Marian. As a teacher, this leads me to carefully consider the quality of the relationships I developed with the students and recognizing the fun, accomplishments and positivity of those connections. As an administrator, it is about looking at the school as a whole (faculty, students and staff), and absorbing the wonderful accomplishment of another successful school year at Marian Central. These are no small tasks, and we are all contributors so it’s important to recognize and appreciate our role in these efforts.
Lastly, I think specifically here of our seniors as they approach the end of their time here at Marian Central. I encourage them to take the end of the year with the seriousness and gravity it requires, but also to take moments to enjoy the relationships with their friends, peers, and teachers. This will not only help with the anxiousness of the end of the school year, but hopefully enrich the connections among our community members that make Marian a special place.
Mr. Brad Williams
