Assalamu alaikum respected parents,
I pray all is well. Last Sunday (5/12) all students took their Final Exams for Islamic History and Islamic Studies. In addition, a couples grades also had Quran & Arabic Exams. Tomorrow (5/19) is the Final Exam for Quran and Arabic in sha Allah in the AM with the exception of a couple of grades who took it last week. In addition, any students who were absent last week, will have a chance to make up their missed Final Exams this Sunday In sha Allah.
We are also looking forward to celebrating our last instructional/exam day with a FIELD DAY tomorrow in the PM (11:30-1:00) in sha Allah. Students will enjoy outdoor games and activities in the backyard field of IFN. JazakAllah Khair to all those parents who have signed up as volunteers for Field Day in sha Allah. For any other parents, who would like to volunteer and have fun while helping out with Field Day, please come join us at 10:00 AM in the IFN Backyard and we help with set up, running activity stations, and wrap up etc
Please note that IFN Administration has also arranged an ICE CREME TRUCK to come at IFN tomorrow at 1:00 PM. If you would like your children to get ice creme from the ice creme truck, please feel free to send some money with them to buy ice creme.
We are organizing a Staff Appreciation Lunch at the end of this school year to celebrate all the hard work of our staff. Sunday School will hold its 8th Grade Graduation & Awards Distribution Ceremony on JUNE 2nd, 2024. Like last year, any 8th grade boys & girls interested in giving a graduation speech on June 2nd, please submit your speech by MAY 19th for review at: ifnss.principal@ifnonline.com with the subject line ‘Graduation Speech’. So far, I have received 1 speech but would love to have other 8th graders participate as well. We will select up to 3 candidates in shaa Allah who can give a 1-3 minutes speech on June 2nd. Requirements: Speech should NOT EXCEED 3 minutes
MORNING ASSEMBLY: On Sunday (5/12), our morning assembly was led by Sr Eman Enaya on the topic of "Beware of Shaitan". She talked about how the month of Thulhijjah is just around the corner! This month holds an extremely important rank in the religion of Islam as Allah swt has honored this month with one of the fifth pillar of Islam is Hajj. Rasulullah (S) Farewell sermon, speech was his last and most important pieces of advice to the Muslim Ummah. A very important point that we learn from the farewell sermon is the importance of not following Shaytan. Rasulullah (S) said in this sermon, “Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in big things, so beware of following him in small things.” She discussed ways by which we can help protect ourselves from the tactics of shaitian.
