October 2024
Principal's Message
Dear Regina Community,
We had a great Homecoming week last week! The students were able to have fun with dress-up days and activity day. It was great to see over 1,000 Regals in the gym together to celebrate Mass on Wednesday. The football game and dance went well.
We move into October and hopefully more normal schedules. Please do not hesitate to reach out to your student's teachers if you have any questions. Parent Teacher conferences are more than a month away so we want to make sure we are doing what we can to help our students succeed. More information in regards to scheduling conferences will be coming in a few weeks.
I included a Ted Talk where Jonathan Haidt goes over the main points in his book The Anxious Generation. Although I may not agree with his religious perspectives, he makes many valid and important points for parents to hear.
October is dedicated to the Holy Rosary. We kick off October with a Rosary prayer service on Wednesday, October 2. Tradition teaches us that the Rosary was given to St. Dominic by Mary so he may use it as a weapon in combating the Albigensian heresy. The Catholic Crusade YouTube page has a virtual rosary and many other resources to help you in your prayer life. I have included the virtual rosary for Tuesday below.
Yours in Christ,
Glenn Plummer
