Monomoy staff and students participate in Annual Suicide Awareness Walk
There was a tremendous amount of Monomoy Shark Spirit at the Annual Suicide Awareness Walk sponsored by Sharing Kindness. Several of our students, including members of our Interact Club, volunteered to work at the walk and some of those students can be seen wearing the bright green volunteer shirts in this photo Other Monomoy students and teachers came to walk and support the cause, including several students in the National Honor Society and their advisor, Mary Hemeon (far left, back row). Guidance secretary and Interact advisor, Betsy Casey, took part in the photo as well (fourth from right in back). Teacher Lisa Forte-Doyle (front row, far right) is a member of the Sharing Kindness Walk Committee and captained our team. She made sure all volunteers and walkers had plenty of snacks and drinks!
Here are the fabulous student volunteers who came to the walk (not all are pictured): Molly Gramm, Abby Considine, Sophia Cohrs, Olivia Eldredge, Adrianna Saglibene, Emily Layton, Kate Small, Lily Gould, Neva Salta, Naranjargal Bold, and Caleb Harmann.
Congratulations to senior Wyatt Archibald
Wyatt recently earned his private pilots license. In order to achieve this, Wyatt has completed 70 hours of flying time and needed to pass the practical exam. Wyatt will be continuing his studies at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in the fall in Florida. Congratulations Wyatt - this is an incredible accomplishment to achieve!
Children’s Cove Teen Task Force
The teen task force concluded their work this week with airing a PSA to the MRHS students that addressed online sextortion and the role that men play in reducing abuse. The students worked for six months along with Jacob Stapledon (Community Engagement and Education Program Manager) to learn more about Children’s Cove and the topic of child sexual abuse and received guidance from the Pierce Cote communications firm as they created and produced the PSA. Thank you to all the community partners that were part of this project!

Fall 2023 SAT Dates
THE ASVAB is coming to Monomoy on June 7th at noon!
This event is for ALL interested JUNIORS.
The ASVAB Career Exploration Program is designed to help you explore the "world of work" and find out about yourself. This program will help you identify and explore occupations and develop an effective strategy to realize those goals.
Career exploration scores can help you determine your readiness for further education and training in different career areas. Knowing your academic strengths and weaknesses gives you time to work to improve them before you start a job, begin college or vocational school, or enter the military.
