CLEVELAND SCHOOL OF THE ARTS
WEEKLY NEWSLETTER FOR UPDATES & REMINDERS
Week of: November 25, 2024
A note from the Head of School
Dear CSA Family and Friends,
As we approach the Thanksgiving break, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude for your ongoing support and dedication to your child’s education. Thanksgiving is a time for reflection and togetherness, and I hope you and your family enjoy the holiday and the opportunity to connect with loved ones.
While we look forward to the break, we want to emphasize the importance of attendance on Monday, November 25, and Tuesday, November 26. Every day and every minute in school matters for your child’s academic success. Let’s finish this short week strong!
Please remember to check your scholar’s grades in PowerSchool if you haven’t already done so. Progress reports are now available in your parent portal account. If you need assistance accessing the portal, please reach out to our team, and we’ll be happy to help. Monitoring grades regularly ensures that we can work together to keep our scholars on track.
We’re thrilled to announce two exciting upcoming events:
• Winterfest 2024: Join us on Friday, December 13, at 6 PM for Cleveland School of the Arts’ Annual Winterfest Show. This free event will feature performances and exhibits from all of our art departments. Doors will open at 5:30 PM, and the show will begin promptly at 6 PM. We hope to see all of our families there to celebrate our scholars’ creativity and talent.
• Appetizers and Arts: On Thursday, December 5, from 4 PM to 6 PM, our Visual Arts students will collaborate with Cleveland Culinary Arts chefs for our second annual cross-curricular event. This unique afterschool program highlights the intersection of art and culinary skills and is an event you won’t want to miss.
Additionally, a big thank-you to everyone who supported this year’s fall fundraiser! We’re proud to announce that 100% of the total earnings will go directly to grade-level activity accounts, helping to fund meaningful experiences for our students.
If you are interested your student attending after school study tables, reach out to a member of the administration team.
Finally, if you’re interested in volunteering for future events or initiatives, please contact our Parent Ambassador, Ms Ogbuji. Your involvement makes all the difference in creating a supportive and engaging school community. roschelle.ogbuji@clevelandmetroschools.org
Let me leave you with this thought as we approach the holiday season:
“Parent involvement is the heart of a child’s educational success. Together, we build brighter futures.”
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. Enjoy the Thanksgiving holiday, and we look forward to seeing everyone back on Monday!
