Join us in the breakout session focused on staff and teachers NEW to MO Options who have less than 4 years experience with the Missouri Option Program. A portion of the presentation will be allotted for Q&A.
A comprehensive Approach to Credit Recovery that Works!
Often we think of alternative programs such as MO Options, Credit Recovery, and building level interventions operating in isolation, but when these programs work together to support students great things happen! This break-out session will explain the multiple approaches to academic support for students behind their cohort for graduation. These approaches include specific programs offered, student profile for each program, and how they all connect to support students to reach their graduation goals and beyond.
Dealing with Defiance and Disrespect
This presentation assists staff in managing unwanted behaviors displayed in the classroom while maintaining the dignity of the student and safety of the classroom. We will discuss triggers, setting events, noncompliance, discipline, consequences, and power struggles in the classroom.
