Dear Farnham Families,
Farnham is currently in first place in our district for the highest percentage of minutes read in the CEF Read-a-thon with a total of 195,388 minutes! 🎉 We are thrilled to see our students so excited about reading and love hearing stories from families about our Falcons choosing books over TV and video games. Let’s keep this incredible momentum going through February Break—every minute counts!

Although fundraising is optional, every dollar raised through our Read-at-hon will directly benefit Farnham by providing Social Emotional Learning curriculum, resources, and staff training. This has been shown to improve academic performance, enhance social-emotional skills, promote mental health, reduce behavioral issues, increase empathy, and foster positive relationships, leading to a better classroom environment and overall student well-being.

A NOTE FROM YOUR HSC BOARD:
Fabulous Farnham Families, it was wonderful to see so many of you at our Valentine Sweetheart Dance last week! We hope you had a fantastic time.
As we head into the February Break, we wanted to share a few upcoming events for when we return:
*** Book Swap *** Tuesday, February 25th we will be having a book swap as part of the Readathon. Bring a book to exchange in the morning and drop it off at the cafeteria and then come back during the day to look for a new to you book to take home!
* **Walk to School Event:** Join us on Wednesday, February 26th, for our second walk to school event as part of our Farnham Walk and Roll program. Meet at Hogue Park at 7:50 AM, and we'll walk to school together!
* **Walkathon Planning Committee Meeting:** The next virtual meeting will be on February 26th. [Link]
* **Alice in Wonderland Jr.:** Play tickets are available on our website! Seating is first-come, first-served, so secure your spot today for the cast of your choosing. [Link]
* **Night on the Town Fundraiser:** Our second annual "Night on the Town" fundraising event will be on Saturday, March 22nd, from 5-8 PM at Number 1 Broadway in Los Gatos. Enjoy dinner, drinks, music, raffles, a silent auction, and more! See the attached flyer for details. [Tickets]

The Board of Trustees has scheduled its Board Office Hours for the upcoming year. All staff, parents, and community members are welcome to attend regardless of what site the meeting is held at. This is a wonderful opportunity to meet some of our Board members and ask any questions you might have.

Meals will be available for pickup in the cafeteria during scheduled meal periods. Please consider taking advantage of our FREE school meals by clicking here and signing up. In addition, every meal served is reimbursed by the USDA and funds go toward Child Nutrition staff wages.
