"Parents and students, make sure you're checking your weekly progress reports that are sent each Friday afternoon. Here is a reminder of how to differentiate between the grades on the dashboard(click the link for more details): Overall grade - average grade for completed work only, Actual or Pacing grade (overall grade adjusted for progress, this grade is lower as it penalizes a student for falling behind), Relative grade - (this is the grade a student would receive if they stopped working and receive 0's on the incomplete activities in the course.). Pay attention to the "Actual (pacing) grade" as this will help students determine how their grade is affected if they continue to fall behind in the course and cannot finish by the target date."

Teachers will begin identifying students who are taking December and January EOCs in November. Information and Google Calendar invites will come shortly after.
- PSAT will be held October 9 at our Columbia office for those who registered.
- WIN will take place in the Midlands, Lowcountry, and Upstate with parent choice of testing location the week of October 28. More information to come for those who need to test. *If a student misses their scheduled WIN test, they will have to come to Columbia November 6 to take a make up test.
- Pre-ACT will be held November 19 at Columbia office for those who registered.
- Students taking English II, Biology I, US History, or Algebra I this semester will take an EOC (end-of-course exam) which will count as 20% of their final grade.
