(一) 參觀日

CAoC Open House - 3/2

這禮拜六是克里夫蘭中文書院的參觀日(Open House)，活動期間是早上10:20-11:10，在Shaker Heights Middle School。歡迎有興趣的朋友們，前來了解我們學校的教學/活動內容，提前感受學習環境及氣氛。

This coming Saturday is our Open House Day. The event is from 10:20-11:10 a.m. at Shaker Heights Middle School. During the open house, we will give you a briefly introduction about our program and a tour.

(二) 便當代購

Bento Ordering - 3/2

若有需要便當代訂服務的朋友們，請於2/29 (四)中午12點前結單。請至google form填寫便當表單，並完成付款手續。

If you are interested, please fill out the google form for ordering bento and complete the payment procedure before 12 noon on 2/29 (Thursday).

同時，我們誠徵領取便當志工數名，請能幫忙的朋友，在表單最後勾選願意的選項。領取地點在亞洲食品公司。

Meanwhile, we are looking for volunteers to collect lunch boxes. If you can help, please check the box at the end of the form. Pick up location is at Asia Foods Company.

(三) 3/9 線上上課

💻 Online class on 3/9

友善提醒各位，三月九日這一天，Shaker Middle School 教室不開放，中文書院的老師們將根據學生的狀況，安排上課的形式，不外乎線上上課、他週補課、或是另約實體上課地點。請家長們與老師提前確認補課方式及細節，做好調整工作。

Friendly reminder, on March 9th, the Shaker Middle School campus will be closed. Our teachers will arrange classes based on the situation of the students, which may include online classes, make-up classes in other weeks, or reschedule another physical class location. Please confirm with your kid’s teacher regarding the alternative and details of make-up lessons in advance and allow time for adjustments.

例如：有些班級，需請家長這禮拜準備上線用3C電子產品，學生需要提前熟悉線上上課平台的操作；有些老師會事前準備手工藝的材料，讓家長於前一週領取等等。

For example, some classroom teacher asks student to bring 3C electronics to the classroom this week, in order to get familiar with platform operation in advance. In other classroom, the teacher would prepare craft materials for parents to bring home the week before.

(四) 識字識詞比賽

Academic Contest - Start from 3/16

我們一年一度的傳統班識字識詞比賽，及CSL識字問答比賽將於3/16打開序幕。行事曆如下：

Our Academic Contest for traditional class and Oral Proficiency Interview for CSL class start at March 16th. Schedule is as follows :

3/16: 五年級 5th grade
3/23: 春假 Spring break
3/30: 春假 Spring break
4/6: 四年級、六年級、傳統班幼稚園 4th grade, 6th grade, Kㄅㄆㄇㄈ
4/13: 一年級、二年級 1st grade, 2nd grade
4/20: CSL 1, 2, 3

傳統班識字識詞的範圍，即題庫，是以該學年及前一學年學過的字詞為主，共100個字，60個詞，請家長協助學生複習範圍題庫內的所有字詞。教務主任將自其中抽出字詞，來當考題。一年級抽10個字，10個詞；二年級以上抽15個字，15個詞。而學生需讀出題目，並依據題目造詞或造句。

The Academic Contest question bank for traditional classes is mainly based on words learned in this and the previous school year, with a total of 100 characters and 60 phrases. We would like to ask parents to assist students reviewing all the words in the question bank. The academic director will draw 10 characters and 10 phrases for first grade students; the second grade students and above will get 15 characters and 15 phrases in the contest. And the students need to read out the character or phrase and make a term or sentence out of it.

根據以往成功經驗，每天花一些時間複習一小部分，化整為零、將學習戰線拉長的效益最高，也最能增加學習動力與自信心。中文學院在這勉勵還沒複習的同學們，是時候開始準備工作了！

Based on the pass experience, prepare for the contest little by little everyday not only reinforce study material and help you achieve the best performance but also boost confidence in learning. Thus, we recommend everyone start your preparation now if you haven't.

2023-2024 Calendar
