A Message From Dr. Haderer

I want to inform you of a situation that was reported to me at school today. Several students overheard an older student make a threatening comment while walking to school. The report was immediately investigated by our administration, the School Resource Officer, and the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department who identified the student as someone from another school outside of the Spring Mills community. Administration from the student's school was immediately notified and they are working with law enforcement to further investigate the situation, however, a search of the student found no weapons.

The safety of our students and staff is my top priority and I wish to thank those who brought the concern to our attention so that it could be handled quickly.

Please remind your students to make good, positive behavioral choices and that inappropriate actions or threats come with consequences.
