In case you missed it...
- Headphones: Please take the time to discuss with your student the importance of paying attention in class. This week, we experienced several incidents involving headphones, with students listening to music instead of focusing on their lessons. WE DO NOT REQUIRE students to have headphones. If headphones are needed for class, they will be provided by the school. At WRMS, we have a policy called "Ears in the Clear," which is part of our dress code. Students are required to keep their ears free of headphones unless they have received permission from a teacher during class. Your cooperation in ensuring that education remains the main priority is very important to us. Thank you for your support.
- Cellphone Policy: Please take a moment to review our cellphone policy with your student. This policy has been in effect since the beginning of the school year and will continue to be enforced as we aim to keep students focused on their education while at school. The Policy is titled "Away for the Day". The cell phone is required to stay in a student's locker during school hours.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to make West Rowan Middle School a place where every student thrives. Let’s make this semester our best one yet!
Sincerely,
Mr. Mullis

Dear Players and Parents,
Blair Phillips Photography is excited to be at West Rowan Middle School for Winter Sports Pictures. In order for picture day to run smoothly, we ask that you watch this short video Blair created for parents. Below the video link is the link to pre-order your child's pictures. Please know we photograph every player as a group shot, but only photograph individual players that place an order before picture day. We hope that the short video answers any questions you may have. WEEK AT A GLANCE
West Rowan Bible Teaching Association 5k & Fun Run
WRMS, along with WRHS, WRES, and Mt. Ulla Elementary, offers Bible Classes that explore the educational, cultural, and historical significance of a book that has profoundly influenced the world. The teachers, Ms. Devenney, Mr. Marlin, and Ms. Wooten, rely on fundraisers and donations to support their efforts. The West Rowan Bible Teachers Association organizes various fundraising events throughout the school year. In April, the West Rowan community has the opportunity to partner with them to express gratitude for their dedication to teaching our children. Please refer to the flyer for registration details regarding the WRBTA 5K and Fun Run.

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Students are expected to be present and arrive on time to school. Students, who are car riders, are marked tardy after 7:30 am, and parents must escort the child into the building if arriving after 7:30 a.m. Students who are absent or tardy miss valuable instructional time and other important school activities and are less likely to master those skills, concepts, and principles needed for success.
