Jan. 27th - 31st
- Hello Bulldog Families -
Good Afternoon, Bulldogs!
We hope everyone had a great weekend!
This past week was filled with excitement and opportunities! Please be sure to ask your students about Bulldog Bucks, Honor Roll Breakfast, and more from last week. We are hopeful the energy continues this week as we prepare for another spirited week. Be sure to check out the complete newsletter for all updates.
- National Read Aloud to Your Class Day - February 5th - We are excited to announce that we have fun activities planned for Wednesday to celebrate this special day!
- New Sports: This week marks the beginning of tryouts for our spring sports season. Be sure to check out the "Week at a Glance" graphic in the newsletter or on Facebook for all the details.
In case you missed it...
- Headphones: Please take the time to discuss with your student the importance of paying attention in class. This week, we experienced several incidents involving headphones, with students listening to music instead of focusing on their lessons. At WRMS, we have a policy called "Ears in the Clear," which is part of our dress code. Students are required to keep their ears free of headphones unless they have received permission from a teacher during class. Your cooperation in ensuring that education remains the main priority is very important to us. Thank you for your support.
- Cellphone Policy: Please take a moment to review our cellphone policy with your student. This policy has been in effect since the beginning of the school year and will continue to be enforced as we aim to keep students focused on their education while at school.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership as we work together to make West Rowan Middle School a place where every student thrives. Let’s make this semester our best one yet!
Sincerely,
Mr. Mullis
Principal,

ATTENDANCE MATTERS
Students are expected to be present and arrive on time to school. Students, who are car riders, are marked tardy after 7:30 am, and parents must escort the child into the building if arriving after 7:30 a.m. Students who are absent or tardy miss valuable instructional time and other important school activities and are less likely to master those skills, concepts, and principles needed for success.
