Principal's Message
Dear Parents,
Thank you for taking the time to meet with teachers last week! Your partnership is truly the “secret sauce” that makes everything we do at MOQ shine. Together, we create an incredible recipe for success—helping your child(ren) grow academically, socially, and spiritually. We're so grateful to work alongside such wonderful families, and we look forward to what we’ll continue to accomplish together this year.
Special thanks to the Home and School Teacher Appreciation Committee for providing the teachers with lunch and snacks.
I hope you all enjoyed the long, beautiful Fall weekend. We are ready to get to work on our 2nd quarter goals!
God Bless,
Maureen Hoy

Halloween Parties
In case you didn’t know…Halloween is Thursday, October 31! The Halloween Parade, for students in grades K-4, will begin at 1:45 PM. Families and friends are invited to line the drop-off route outside the school or find a seat in the gym to watch our ghosts, goblins, superheroes, and superstars parade through the MOQ campus. Classroom parties, complete with games and goodies, will follow the parade.
Fifth and sixth-grade students will travel off campus to have some fun bowling. Jr. High students will enjoy some Halloween fun at 2:30 in the Gym and Cafeteria.
Special thanks to the MOQ Home & School Association and grade-level Room Parents for organizing this “spook-tacular” fun.
Book Fair
Thank You for Supporting Our Book Fair! But Wait... There is More!
Dear Parents and Guardians,
A huge thank you to everyone who bought books at our Scholastic Book Fair! Your support helps fill our library with new and exciting reads. We could not do it without you!
However, the fun is not over yet! You can still shop online until October 31st! It’s the perfect way to stock up on even more great books—just in time for holiday shopping! Books make such thoughtful gifts that can spark imagination and adventure all year round.
So, if you did not get everything you wanted at the fair (or need a few extra gifts for Christmas), there is still time! You can browse and shop right here:
Thank you again for your amazing support and happy shopping!
Ms. Vranes
P.S. Hurry—online shopping ends October 31st!

Cafeteria News
Lunch Accounts: Lunch orders are submitted to Westside each day by 8:30 AM. Once those numbers are submitted, our school families are financially responsible for the lunch their student(s) ordered. Requests for lunch account adjustments must be made by the 9th calendar day of the following month in which the charge was applied. To assist with your lunch account maintenance, FACTS Management will email Low Balance statements to customers whose current balance is less than $20.
Once a month, the cafeteria staff reviews lunch accounts. Accounts maintaining a negative balance for more than a month receive a letter requesting payment. Families can request assistance for payment by contacting me or the school office. We will gladly work with you to bring your lunch account current. However, we do reserve the right to close the account to new charges until payment or a payment plan is established.
Volunteer: THANK YOU to everyone who has volunteered in the cafeteria. The time you donate to
the lunch program is truly appreciated. Feel free to start signing up for November and
December. Thank you in advance. The SignUp Genius link: HERE.Michelle Zaleski
