No Open Doors Today

A fire drill was held mid-morning on Thursday, October 12th. Everyone evacuated the building quickly and in silence. Thanks to everyone for their cooperation.

Initially, this father and son pair traveled to and from school by bike and trailer. This past week, the pair have been seen biking back and forth together. Cycling is a great way to get back and forth to school.

The teams traveled to Georgia for their games on Wednesday afternoon. 10-11-2023. Ms. Smith kindly shared pictures she took while she sat between the two games. The weather swung wildly between rain and sunshine. A rainbow appeared overhead. Link to 33 Pictures.

This is a massive race held on the BFA Fairfax fields and trails. Local elementary, middle and high schools send teams to the event. The course is hilly and rugged. The elementary and middle school boys and girls run together and prizes are given to the teams and individuals wearing the best costumes. The SACS cross country team put on capes and masks and gave the event their best effort. Ms. Grudev, their coach, took pictures at various vantage points during the race. Link to 36 Photos.

As always, Ms. Brooks was at our home game to capture photos of the SACS 7/8 team competing with the Georgia 8th grade team. Link to 86 Pictures. 10-11-2023

There are 4 Walking Wednesdays scheduled this month. Get ready to walk with one of six different groups coming to St. Albans City School on Wednesdays. Link to map, meeting points and meet-up times

Greetings from the Climate Committee! We are announcing Biking Fridays from Houghton Park during the month of October! If you don’t have a bike, walking is an option although bikers and walkers will not be kept together while getting to school.

Meet up at Houghton Park earliest at 6:50 and leaving at 7:00.

We are doing this because if you walk, bike, or carpool to school, it lessens air pollution and hopefully our actions will slow global warming.
