Dear TLC Students, Families, and Friends,

Thank you for another year of learning, laughter, and community here at TLC! The 2023-24 school year was filled with new beginnings and exciting "firsts" from start to finish.... some of my favorite highlights from this year include:

* New Students and Families -- As TLC continues to expand our school, we are thrilled to welcome new families and students. Our TK/K students have grown so much this year, and the newest members of Grades 1st-6th have enriched and enhanced our community. Thank you all for being a part of TLC!

* Site 2 (Yorba) spaces -- At the start of this year, 1st-6th graders moved into our new classrooms and play spaces on Site 2! To make sure the space is welcoming and beautiful, TLC added shade structures, play equipment, screens, flowers, and banners throughout the campus. Thank you to all who volunteered to help with beautification throughout this year.... we look forward to working together for even more improvements next year.

* TLC Community Library-- THANK YOU families for all of your support and help! Opened in November 2023, our library is a joyful and beautiful space for our community. All Site 2 classes now make weekly visits to the library to check out books, read, and learn. We look forward to our bi-monthly workshop series for families starting in Fall 2024....stay tuned:)

* Literacy for ALL -- students and teachers worked hard this year to make sure every TLC student receives high-quality literacy instruction and can develop a love for reading, stories, and books. Students are making strong growth on all reading measures this year, and we are so proud of our learners!

* Orange May Parade, Winter Program, and Spring Jam -- Once again, our students share their learning, talents, and skills with the community through performances of songs and dances and classroom presentations. We can't wait to see what they will do in 2024-25.

We are already planning for the next school year, and we wish all families and students a joyful summer break. We will see you soon!

Hello TLC friends and family! We’re so excited for our Kindergarten and 6th grade graduates! Please join us Wednesday to celebrate all their achievements and send them off with lots of love and encouragement.

Site 1 @ 9:00 am

Site 2 @ 11:00 am

We’d love help making sure graduation extra special. We are taking donations for balloons, graduation decor, snacks, and bottled water.

Our annual Field Day is this Thursday, June 6th! It will be full of fun, games and a little friendly competition! Please send your child to school wearing their class colors (only site 2, see details below) and consider sending a change of clothes since we’ll be playing with water.

If you’d like to volunteer to help with the festivities, please contact your child’s teacher.

Friendly reminder : we'll be ending the year with a minimum day! Site 1 dismissal is 12:20 and site 2 dismissal is 12:30.

After School Care will be available as usual, and has some extra fun things planned (Hint: pizza, music, and dancing will be involved)!

Minimum Day! Site 1 pickup: 12:20. Site 2 pickup: 12:30

8:00 am - 5:00 pm Monday-Friday for the entire month of June.

For specific students. June 10th - July 16th. No school 7/4 & 7/5 in observance of Independence Day.

Every Tuesday the church attached to Site 1 will be distributing food at 2pm.

We're always in need of extra clothes for accidents or spills. If you have any gently used pants, shirts, socks, or jackets please drop them off in the front office of either location.

If you'd like to further support our school please consider contributing to our new library! On our wish list we have book series, sensory area toys, and practical items that will ensure our library is running smoothly. Thank you for your support!
