Meet the Principals
K-5 One91 Virtual Academy Principal
My name is Angie Pohl and I am privileged to be joining the Vista View Elementary and K-5 One91 Virtual Academy communities as principal. We have wonderful students, families, and staff and I'm excited to get to know all of you and partner with you to support the learning and development of our students.
I am dedicated to our One91 mission of Each Student. Future Ready. Community Strong. To me this means working together with our staff and families to create a safe, welcoming learning community in which each and every one of our students grows and develops academically, socially, and emotionally. It means sparking wonder for our elementary students, helping them develop curiosity and a love of learning and building a strong foundation to set them on their path to future success. We want them to start to see the world of opportunities open to them in their future and ensure we are building the skills, abilities, and beliefs to prepare them to take advantage of those opportunities.
I look forward to the year ahead and working with all of you to support our students' academic and personal growth.
6-12 One91 Virtual Academy Principal
Welcome to the One91 Virtual Academy! My name is Kelly Ronn and I am the new 6-12 One91 Virtual Academy principal. Thank you for choosing this educational option for your child. One91 Virtual Academy courses are created using principles of blended learning lesson design incorporating the elements of Engage-Explore-Explain-Elaborate-Evaluate, while course content still tightly adheres to essential and enduring content standards. Teachers will use instructional strategies that focus on interaction, inclusion and collaboration to ensure lessons are designed specifically for online learning.
We are excited to partner with you in your child's learning experience — maximizing each student's academic, social and emotional growth. We are always learning and improving ourselves to better meet the needs of our students, and welcome your feedback at any time.
I will be the principal of the 6-12 One91 Virtual Academy this year. I am very excited to begin working with One91 Virtual Academy families. I began in District 191 as principal of Metcalf Junior High (later becoming Metcalf Middle School) and served from 2003-2018. In 2018, I became principal of Burnsville Alternative High School, where I still currently serve and will be adding to my duties as the 6-12 Virtual Academy principal as well.
Please contact me at kronn@isd191.org or 952-707-4077 with any feedback, questions, or concerns.

Educational Benefits
What’s the simplest way to support your child’s school and provide funding for teachers, interventionists and other student supports? Fill out an Application for Educational Benefits today.
For families, the application determines their eligibility for benefits including free and reduced-price meals, as well as other potential discounts on athletics, activities, band and even internet. School meals will no longer be free for all students as they were during the 2020-21 and 2021-22 school years, so it’s important that you apply.
For the school district, the applications - and specifically how many families qualify for those benefits - determine some of the funding that is provided to schools. This funding is specifically used to provide student supports, including additional teaching positions which can lower class sizes, interventionists and other specialist type teachers, and additional support.
Even if you think you may not be eligible or aren’t worried about the benefits this year, completing an application can make a huge difference for our school and that’s why our goal is for 100 percent of families to complete an application. Any information you submit will remain confidential.
Learn more and complete an Application for Educational Benefits at www.isd191.org/edbenefits.
