From Miss Angela
Dear VAP Families,
I wanted to take a moment to reflect on some of the exciting events we’ve had recently and to share some important upcoming news.
First, we had an amazing time at our annual Spooky Science event! A huge thank you to our middle school science team for organizing such a fun and engaging experience for our students. The Pumpkin Showcase was also a fantastic success. It was wonderful to see so many families come out and share their incredible pumpkin creations. Your creativity truly shone!
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you for your generous donations to our CJ's Smiles fundraiser. I’m thrilled to announce that we raised $632! This will make a significant difference for the cause, and we couldn’t have done it without your support. Thank you once again for your generosity!
A quick reminder: Tomorrow is Make-Up Picture Day. Students who were absent on picture day in September should have their pictures taken. If you would like your child's pictures retaken, please remember to return the original order.
We are excited to participate in the Annual Rotary Club of Temecula Holiday Food Drive again this year! This year, we will have a house competition. Donations can be dropped off in the gymnasium this week, and food will be collected through this Thursday, November 21st. Let’s work together to support our community!
Looking ahead, mark your calendars for the Scholastic Book Fair, which will take place on campus from November 18th to 22nd. Students will have scheduled visits with their classes throughout the week, and parents are welcome to shop with their children after school until 5:30 p.m.
As always, for more information on upcoming events, please check out the rest of the newsletter below. Thank you for being such an integral part of our school community!

Join Us in Honoring Our Veterans
If you or a family member has served or is currently serving in the military, we invite you to bring a velcroed patch representing your branch to add to our commemorative banner (pictured here), created by one of our wonderful teachers, Miss Margarita. If you don’t have velcro, no worries—we’ll provide it for you!
You can also bring your patches during the Parent/Teacher Conferences on November 8, 2024. This is a great opportunity to engage with teachers and staff while contributing to our tribute.
Let’s come together as a community to show our appreciation and support for our veterans. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Miss Margarita at mtrujillo@vapeagles.com. Thank you for being part of this meaningful event!

Reminder: Please try to refrain from picking up your child during Homework Club hours, as this time is dedicated to completing homework and catching up on assignments. If you need to pick up your child early, we can make exceptions, but this shouldn't become a regular occurrence.
The office will no longer call students out of Homework Club from the office between 4:15 and 4:30 PM. Please go to the gym to pick up your child during this time.
On Fridays, simply go directly to Gate B for pick-up during homework club hours, as it’s Fun Friday and students will be engaged in various activities throughout the school. However after 4:30 pm, they will be in the gym. Thank you for your understanding!
