Six Wrestlers Qualify for STATE Finals, Grant and Wingrove Sectional Champs!
The Heritage HS Wrestling Team traveled to LaGrange, GA for the AAAA State Sectional Tournament hosted by Troup Co HS. The Heritage Wrestlers battled in a tough 4A Sectional dominated by NW GA Region 7. The Generals finished in 5th Place out of 24 teams and qualified 6 wrestlers plus 1 Alternate for the State Championship Tournament.
The Generals had 2 Sectional Champions: 175 Skylar Grant and 190 Evan Wingrove

Choose Classes for 24-25 School Year!
It's time for students to choose their classes for the 2024-25 school year. There will be class meetings this week to share new information with students and walk them through the registration process. We have a new course catalog and some exciting dual enrollment options for next year. Registration for classes for the 2024-25 school year will be open through student portal from February 12-27, 2024.
We have pre-loaded academic (English, Math, Science and Social Studies) courses for students based on teacher recommendations. Students who wish to change an academic class must complete the Academic Course Schedule Request and turn it in to the school counseling office by June 1, 2024. Students may not change AP/Honors classes after June 1, 2024.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Edgeman who placed first at FCCLA region STAR events in chapter service project display. She will compete at state in Athens next month.

Students & Teachers Heading to Nicaragua
We have about 30 students and teachers headed to Leon, Nicaragua from February 16-25 as part of our Impact2One project. Our HOSA (health occupations) and AP Spanish students will be attending classes at the Katie Beth Carter Memorial High School and working in the health clinic that we built in Tomas Borge, Nicaragua. Students will also visit a museum, a chocolate factory, climb a volcano, and also get to know the people of Tomas Borge. Since our last visit, a new Katie Beth Carter elementary school has been built!

Jay Williams Commits to Alabama for Football
HHS Senior Jay Williams committed to the University of Alabama as a preferred walk on for the football team. Jay is an Honors/Dual Enrollment student and has been working on his long snapping skills for several years. Congratulations and good luck! Roll Tide!

Junior/Senior Prom is April 27th
The Annual Heritage High Junior/Senior Prom will be held on Saturday, April 27th at the Commons in Collegedale. HHS seniors will receive 1 FREE (non-transferrable) ticket for prom. HHS juniors/seniors may invite 1 guest to prom.

Be sure to get your guest approved through the main office. Download or pick up a Prom Guest Permission form and bring it to Mrs. Hamill in the main office for approval. Make sure that you and your guest follow the Prom Dress Code and Guidelines before making clothing choices for Prom.
