We're Going to Miss You!
Greg Sailer
Greg began his teaching career at Brick Memorial in 1997. He spent 4 years teaching grades 4th, 5th, 9th, and 10th. In September of 2001, Greg began his career in Little Egg Harbor. He has taught 4th grade, 5th grade, and 16 years in 6th grade with 14 of those years with me. I have such admiration for this man and his true love of teaching. Thank you Mr. Sailer for inspiring all of us to write Haikus, for spreading humor with cat pictures, stumping us with extensive vocabulary, and inspiring students throughout the years. You will be greatly missed. It is time to chillax and drive off into the sunset. Get into your Thing and go hunt some Squatch and Keep it Weird!! We will leave the Light of Learning burning for you.

Lorie Sailer
After 31 incredible years of teaching, Lorie Sailer is retiring, and what a legacy she leaves behind. She has been one of the most dedicated and energetic educators our district has ever known. Her passion for science and math was not only evident in her teaching but also deeply contagious. Whether she was sharing her love of birds of prey, exploring the wonders of weather, or uncovering the secrets of rocks and fossils, Lorie brought learning to life for her students. She enriched her classroom by inviting guest speakers who inspired curiosity and excitement in young minds. Lorie is an amazing individual whose impact extends far beyond the classroom. She will be sorely missed by her colleagues, students, and the entire community.

Clare Gallagher
For nearly a quarter of a century, Clare has been a guiding light for students, colleagues, and the entire school community. As a 6th grade English Language Arts teacher, she has done far more than teach reading and writingโshe has inspired young minds to find their voice, to think critically, and to express themselves with confidence and heart.
Her classroom, wherever it may have been located over the years, has always been a safe, nurturing space where students knew they were seen, heard, and valued. Clare is not only a dedicated teacher but also a published poet. Her love for language is evident in everything she does. She gives her allโfor her students, her colleagues, this district, and the community. Her kindness, her dedication, and her unwavering belief in the potential of every child have made a lasting impact that will be felt for years to come.
Your legacy will live on in every life you've touched, congratulations on your retirement!

Special Thanks to the PTO
A heartfelt thank you to the PTO for giving us a truly wonderful Staff Appreciation Week! Your thoughtfulness and generosity made us feel incredibly valued and supported. We are so grateful for all you do!
๐ถ Music with Mrs. Dreher ๐ถ
The FPE Chorus sang America the Beautiful and Take Me Out to the Ballgame at the Lakewood BlueClaws game on May 20th. The community filled the stadium with FPE green, and the singers had wonderful performances! Thank you to all those involved. It has become a treasured annual tradition.
๐ต Interdistrict Concert ๐ต
Many of our chorus and band students participated in the Interdistrict Concert at Pinelands Regional High School on May 27. Band and chorus students from Frog Pond, Tuckerton, and Eagleswood Elementary schools performed together. Then the students got to hear the junior high and high school ensembles perform. The concert ended with all of the groups performing America, the Beautiful together. It was great night of music!
๐ท Elementary Honors Band Festival ๐ท
On Saturday, May 3, three of our band students participated in the Elementary Honors Band Festival at Absegami High School. The event consisted of 300 elementary students from south Jersey, divided among 4 bands. They rehearsed for several hours in the morning and then performed a concert for family and friends. Our students were Alex Lasky, Sophia Allen, and Molly McIlhenny.
๐จ Peer Buddies ๐จ
The 5th Grade STEP and their peer buddies met and painted rocks for a memorial garden for a special education student who had passed away a few years ago! We had fun painting rocks for the garden and then a rock for ourselves.
STEAM Update
All STEAM classes did a lesson on our BreakoutEDU boxes! These are like escape rooms, but instead of breaking out of a room, students solve clues to open locks to break into the box! It uses critical thinking skills to solve the riddles/clues to be able to figure out the lock combos!
๐ขTurtle Update ๐ข
Frog Pond classes have released the turtles! Classes met with Mr Wurst over several days to safely release all diamondbacks back into the marshes. Mr Wurst passed along his thanks to all students who are helping to conserve these beautiful creatures. Wishing a long, happy life to all the babies. Long live turtles!

๐ฒ School Store ๐ฒ
The school store was created years ago to give my students an opportunity to have real life experience with math. This year it has exceeded everyone's expectations with the studentsโ love for capybaras! It has been very difficult to keep up with the demand. Weโll be having our last sale the weeks of 5/19 and 5/27 but we plan on opening next year.
We plan on splitting much of the profits with each Frog Pond grade level to be applied to their class trips. The rest will be used to replenish our stock.
Thank you to all who participated and we look forward to serving you next year!
