A Message From Mr. Lynch
Happy Friday! As we wrap up another week at Brimfield Elementary, I want to take a moment to thank each of you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. It’s been a great week filled with learning, laughter, and growth.
I’m excited to remind you that our Principal's fundraiser is currently underway. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our school and enhance the educational experience for all our students. Your participation makes a significant difference!
If you find yourself in a situation where you think you may need some assistance this holiday season, please reach out to us. While we are not always able to help, most of the time we can connect you with resources and organizations who can help lighten the load.
Also, please mark your calendars for our upcoming PTA meeting on October 2nd. We look forward to seeing you there, sharing updates, and discussing ways we can work together to support our children’s education.
Happy Fall!

Counselors Corner
Hello Brimfield Families!
Anxiety, there are many different things the parents and guardians can do to help their child when they are feeling anxious. Your student is not alone, childhood anxiety has been becoming more common with over 4.4 million children from ages 3-17 being diagnosed with anxiety. Here are some things you can do to support your child when they are feeling anxious:
Remind your child that their feelings are valid and okay. Give them time and space to share how they feel without judgment.
Set a time each day/week to talk about their worries.
Help your child focus on what they can control.
Help your child develop ways to cope with and manage their anxiety, such as:
Deep breathing
Talking to you or another adult
Journaling or drawing
Focusing on what they can control
Using positive self-talk
Exercising
Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Please see the link below to review the student handbook.
EXTRA CLOTHES!
Parents please make sure that your child has an extra pair of clothes here at school in their locker. Throughout the year accidents/spills/mud happens. It's always good to have a change of clothes ready so we don't have to call you during the work day to bring some up to the school.
Thank you!

PBIS
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is a proactive approach designed to foster a positive school climate by encouraging appropriate behavior. It focuses on teaching and reinforcing clear behavioral expectations in a consistent and structured way. PBIS emphasizes prevention rather than punishment, using data to identify and support students who may need additional help. By recognizing and rewarding positive behavior, PBIS aims to improve student engagement, reduce disciplinary issues, and create a more inclusive, respectful learning environment where all students can thrive academically and socially.
At Brimfield Elementary, students help to identify positive expectations and receive incentives for appropriate behavior. Your child may be chosen to participate in the Principal’s Club, receive a red SOAR ticket, or earn a Principal’s Good News call. The staff at Brimfield works hard to use positive words with students. Instead of telling a child to “stop running” in the hallway, the direction might be to “move throughout the halls in a controlled and safe manner”. Thank you, in advance, for partnering with us and using positive statements with your child. We are very proud of our PBIS program and look forward to celebrating the great behavior of our young Falcons!
