Principal's Message
Hello Alder Families,
Fall has finally arrived at Alder Avenue, the air is crisp and the smell of fall is in the air. In the classrooms student learning is in full swing. From convocation, to focus 40, and daily lessons, students are embracing middle school life, engaging in its daily activities and being educated in a rigorous curriculum.
What an incredible Spirit Week we’ve had! The energy, enthusiasm, and participation from our students and staff, has truly made this a week to remember.
Throughout Spirit Week, we’ve seen amazing creativity and school pride. Whether it was Pajama Day, Twin Day, Western Day or Team Color Day, the students have really brought the spirit to life! It’s been so much fun watching everyone get involved and support our #EHT PRIDE.
To cap off this exciting week, we’ll be hosting a Pep Rally on Friday, which also marks the beginning of our Boosterthon Fundraiser. The rally will not only celebrate the end of Spirit Week but will also kick off the Boosterthon event, which is a major fundraiser for our school. The funds raised help enhance our students' educational experience, providing extra resources for classrooms, programs, and school activities.
As we focus on academics, it’s also important to remember that middle school is a time of significant transition for our students. It’s a time where they’re developing greater independence, critical thinking, and organizational skills. We are committed to supporting them every step of the way. Parents, we encourage you to engage in conversations with your child about their goals and experiences. Help them stay organized and focused, and remind them that it’s okay to ask for help when they need it.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Ms. Cunningham
