Community Update from Principal Griffin
Dear Erie High School families,
I hope that you and your family are enjoying an incredible summer. Our office staff, counselors, and administrators have all returned to work in preparation for the 2024-2025 school year, and we will look forward to welcoming back our teachers next week. I am thrilled to enter my third year as the Erie High School principal, and I am excited to see our students back at school on August 13th (9th grade students) and August 14th (all students).
The start of a new school year is always an exciting time, as we have the opportunity to look forward to all of the great experiences, achievements, and feats of our Erie students. I look forward to seeing all that our students will accomplish this year in their academic, athletic, artistic, and co-curricular lives.
As we prepare for the start of the year, please save these important upcoming dates:
Picture Day - August 6th & 7th from 9:00 am -1:00 pm - this is a great opportunity for students to get updated student IDs, yearbook, and Infinite Campus photos
1st day of school for 9th grade students - August 13th (featuring 2 Β½ day sessions with more scheduling details to follow this update)
1st day of school for all students - August 14th
Back to School Night - August 22nd
Homecoming Week - September 16th - September 20th
Homecoming Football Game - September 20th 7 pm
Homecoming Dance - September 21st 7 pm

Welcome New Students to Our District!
We are excited to welcome you to Erie High School! Please plan to attend Picture Day to get set up with an iPad. Our Link Leaders will also be available for school tours. We can't wait to have you join us at EHS!
Order Your School Photos with Studio 5
Freshmen Orientation
Logistics/Times: Erie High Schoolβs Freshman Orientation is half-day (4 hours). Last names A-L will attend in the morning (7:45 -11:15 am). Last names M-Z will attend in the afternoon (10:45 am -2:45 pm).
Lunch: Provided to all students for free.
Transportation: Buses will be provided for morning and afternoon sessions. The morning session will have the normal pick up time; the afternoon session will be picked up 3 hours and 15 minutes later than before. (*check infinite campus under "transportation" tab for bus times and which bus. Please contact transportation for any questions about busses.)
Materials: Freshmen should bring a water bottle and wear comfortable clothing. (iPads and school supplies are not needed.) Students will be moving around the school and participating in various activities that do not require iPads or school supplies.

iPad Refresh
All students will receive a new iPad this year through our district's iPad refresh. Please ensure iPads are backed up prior to returning to school. Information on how to do this can be found here. We encourage all families to consider purchasing insurance for their new iPad. Students should bring their old iPad charged as well as their charging brick and cable to their refresh time. To support high levels of student success and engagement to start the school year, all 9th and 10th graders will not be able to download Apps through the Apple App store. To learn more about possible options for headphones, please review this website provided by our SVVSD DTS team.
CETC and IC Classes
Our Career Elevation and Technology Center as well as the Innovation Center classes will start on Wednesday, August 14th.We provide school bus transportation to and from these classes at Erie High School. The schedule will be published soon.
Senior Photos
The Deadline for submitting your senior photos is November 1st. You MUST submit your photos online by going to. https://photos.jostens.com/RXZTCR
Please only upload ONE picture. We have no way of knowing which picture you want if you upload 3-4 pictures.
Please provide us a vertical headshot (2 x 3) that is a high resolution (300 dpi) jpeg.
*Photographers often submit photos so, please check with your studio and confirm that the picture was received.
