Updates & Reminders
- Please remember that students cannot arrive to school before 8 am. Breakfast is available in the cafeteria beginning at 8 am, and we have staff supervision for outdoor line-up starting at 8:15 am. We do not have staff to supervise students before 8 am.
- Remember to donate gently used clothes and shoes to our Blue Bin by the bike racks. These donations benefit many in our community that are served by the Northwest Center. If you are doing some spring cleaning, thinking of donating clothes from home, please consider donating to our blue bin!
- Moving and not returning next year? Please let the office know as soon as you know so we can accurately plan for classes and staffing next year!
- Please remember to notify the office of changes in dismissal plans as early as possible!
- The family input form for class placement is now available in the office. This form is for unique cases and is not necessary for the majority of families. It is due no later than Friday April 26th at 3 pm. We will not accept forms after this time. See last week's newsletter for class placement information.

PTG Prairie Dog Dash
The Moran Prairie PTG's annual Prairie Dog Dash kicked off this past Tuesday. Our sixth annual Prairie Dog Dash is on Friday, May 10th, 2024. It is an all-school fun run held during the school day at Moran Prairie. We ask that students obtain donations from our community by asking friends, family, and neighbors for sponsorships. 100% of cash and check proceeds go directly to Moran! No sharing 50% of the profits with an outside company!
You can also visit our fundraising website, moranprairiedogdash.fundmonkey.com, and use your unique donation code to donate with your credit card. All donation codes begin with the number 350, followed by the first 3 letters of your child’s first name, then your child’s last name. For example, if your child’s name is Andrew Miller, his code would be 350-AndMiller. Your child’s donation code will be emailed to a parent or guardian on kick off day.
IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER
- Kick Off! Donations Envelopes sent home April 23
- Donation Collection Dates April 25, 30, May 2, 7, 9
- Donation Envelope Due (final collection) May 9
- Prairie Dog Dash Event May 10
- Grades K, 1st, 2nd 9:00 – 9:45am
- Grades 3rd, 4th, 5th 10:00 – 10:45am
Students should collect donations ahead of the Dash, with all funds due before the actual run. This is not a per-lap fundraiser. Please only send donations on the listed collection dates. Students are encouraged to turn in money as they fundraise. Envelopes will be returned to students after each collection day.
Our goal is 100% participation! Each week, every child that has collected donations, whether online or in the collection envelope, will be entered into a random drawing for prizes. Please help us raise funds to support our teachers and community events! With your help, we can achieve it!
