🏆 TVUSD CTE Cyber Teams Dominate Inland Empire Mayors Cyber Cup 2025
The future of cybersecurity is bright in Temecula! On March 8th, TVUSD CTE students once again showcased their technical expertise and problem-solving skills at the Inland Empire Mayors Cyber Cup, sweeping the high school division and securing the championship in the middle school division.
GOHS secured both 1st and 3rd place, while TVHS claimed 2nd, completing a clean sweep for TVUSD in the high school competition. Their success ensures that the prestigious two-countywide trophy will remain in Temecula at City Hall for another year. Meanwhile, in the middle school division, BVMS captured 1st place.
This competition challenges students with real-world cybersecurity scenarios, testing their ability to analyze network traffic, assess web application vulnerabilities, decode encrypted messages, and even deconstruct software to identify security flaws. The event pushes participants to think critically and act decisively—essential skills in an increasingly digital world.
These victories are a testament to the dedication and talent of TVUSD’s young cyber defenders. As digital threats continue to evolve, these students are proving they have what it takes to tackle complex security challenges—not just in competition but in the future of cybersecurity itself.
Congratulations to all our Mayors Cup champions! Your hard work and innovation continue to make TVUSD proud.

District and staff leaders will have access to aggregate data from all staff/parents. Please take a moment to provide your feedback. Both surveys will be available through Friday, March 21st. We thank you in advance for your time.
