St. Anthony of Padua School
October 4, 2024 - Volume 5; Issue 9
Join us this weekend at the 20th Anniversary of our Parish Fall Festival! 🎪
Parent/Teacher Conferences will take place next week, from October 8th-11th.
We are looking forward to welcoming all of our parents to Parent-Teacher Conference Week! Please remember, all students will be dismissed at noon each day during Conference Week (After Care will be available). One of the many reasons Catholic education is so effective is because of the outstanding support of parents and the dedication of our teachers. Together, our main focus is to help our children reach their full spiritual and academic potential. We look forward to this opportunity to meet with you and to review your student's first Progress Report of this school year.

Life Skill of the Week
This week's Life Skill is Empathy: the ability to understand and relate to others and to see things from their perspective. Empathy teaches us that we are all part of the Body of Christ, and as such, we are called to care for one another, recognizing the dignity and worth of every person. When we practice empathy, we are essentially following Jesus' command to love our neighbors as ourselves (Mark 12:31). By walking in another's shoes, we can better understand their struggles and joys, allowing us to respond with kindness and support. This practice helps us to reflect the love of Christ in the world. Empathy is a crucial aspect of living out our faith, as it helps us to fulfill our calling to love and serve one another as members of the Body of Christ.

Praying the Rosary in October
The feast of Our Lady of the Rosary on October 7 commemorates the victory at the Battle of Lepanto, which was seen as a significant moment in history where the intercession of Mary through the Rosary was believed to have played a crucial role. This historical context highlights the Rosary as not just a personal devotion but also a communal one, where the faithful come together to seek Mary's intercession in times of need.
We encourage our families to pray a decade of the Rosary each day throughout October as a wonderful way to deepen their faith and connection to Mary. By participating in this practice, families can experience the grace and guidance of Our Lady, fostering a spirit of unity and devotion within the home. It is an opportunity to reflect on the joys and sorrows of life, while also seeking the intercession of Mary to help navigate challenges and celebrate blessings.
The month of October dedicated to the Holy Rosary invites all of us to deepen our prayer life and to honor Mary, who leads us closer to her Son, Jesus.

FACTS October Incidental Billings
All Saints families will notice that their FACTS account has a charge of $15.00 per student for Student Insurance. This covers school provided insurance for the school day, field trips, athletics, etc. This incidental billing is due by October 31, 2024.
If this is the first year your child is attending St. Anthony of Padua School, there is a one-time family fee of $525.00 billed to your incidental billing account. Our New Family Development Fee will be charged to new Saints families on October 1 and will be due by December 31, 2024. Families are able to make a one-time payment through your Family Portal or make smaller payments until the end of December. This fee is assessed to all new St. Anthony of Padua School families and provides the funding necessary for advertising, marketing and communications strategies, as well as equipping our school with additional resources to ensure an academically rigorous program within a state-of-the-art environment. Do not confuse this one-time Family fee of $525.00 with the annual Enrollment fee of $500.00 per student. Should you require an extension, please contact the School Office in order to accommodate your request. Thank you for your continued support and cooperation.
